I am so annoyed with this Donna's location in Coral Springs. I have been supporting them for years and during COVID we supported them every week. Tonight at appx 10PM we called and asked what time they were closing and they said 11PM, so we hopped into our car and immediately drove there and got there within 10 minutes and they were already closing the door before 10:30PM and told us they are closed already. Keep in mind, we literally just called minutes before. So why tell us they are opened if they knew they were going to close earlier than they said on the phone. We were lucky enough to make it in time to the Margate location after leaving the Coral Springs location and got our food at Margate instead.
In response to your reply, we arrived at the Coral Springs location within 10 minutes of calling, and we called at approximately 10PM and was told the store would be closing at 11PM. You must have checked the camera at the wrong store, because we were walking up to the door as we saw the lady closing it and this was before 10:30PM. There was no one inside the store but the employees and they wouldn't let us in. They only made hand gestures telling us they were closed. I tried calling the store from outside to ask why they were closed already since they just told us that they were opened and I watched as no one answered the phone. This is the location at University and Royal Palm. However, the Margate location by Sample Road was also closing at 11PM and we made it there in time to get our food and they earned our business. So your regional manager must have checked the wrong location. Because the storefront is glass and we can see everything inside and no one was being served at the time. I understand that maybe the staff wanted to go home early, which is fine, totally get that, but don't tell customers you are still opened and we get there with more than enough time before closing, only for them to close the door in our face. But good thing we still had enough time to make it to the Margate location before 11PM, after being shut out of the Coral Springs location. I had the misfortune of visiting this establishment today and was met with a rather uncouth and crass server. I got to this establishment a little after 5:30 pm and given the time of day, I enquired what was available. At first no one responded, and when I repeated my query Tasha/Sasha responded rudely that everything was ready. After being served by another server (thankfully) Tasha/Sasha then engaged in a full on argument with two other customers who were behind me. This exchange happened in the presence of the manager. Despite the manager telling her to stop, this individual had no reservation in engaging the customers in a 'tracing' match. This individual has no business dealing with customers as she is clueless about what good customer service entails. Read moreThis is the worst experience I've had in any of the Donna's restaurants that I've visited I got there and a young lady waited on my daughter and I. My daughter ordered medium fried chicken with Rice and peas and cooked cabbage instead of the uncooked one she told us it was $2 more we agreed. So now it was mine time to order after being unsure of what I want decided on the fish only because I was told.that the cooked vegetables/cabbage comes with the fish dinner. I told the young lady to not worry about putting any cabbage on my plate I was giving my daughter mine. This is when it gets interesting! She told me she can't I would have to pay for the cabbage on my daughter's plate. I could not believe what I was hearing. She refuse to resolve the situation luckily the other lady who had a bit more customers service skills and sense was able to understand and said she wouldn't charge me for it.
