Mimi's Cafe — Restaurant in Corona

We went to celebrate our wedding anniversary lunch. We were looking forward to having a nice meal. We received our sandwiches (they were fine), and on plate were fries which were so overly done, they actually "crunched" when tried to eat them. We asked our server for new order, which she did. I was surprised that the cook nor the server noticed the first fries & didn't just replace them. What a shame that the customer had to point that out. The rest of the meal went fine....until we ordered 2 muffins to go. We wanted to enjoy a muffin the next morning with our coffee, as we have always enjoyed Mimi's muffins. The server brought us 2 muffins in a box. The next morning we were looking forward to our yummy muffins......to our surprise.....we opened the box and they looked horrible !!! The chocolate chip one was so over cooked & soooooo dry, it wasn't edible. My husband's buttermilk one was also VERY DRY and the top of it was a mess. I eat out at Mimis often and my problem is not with the food, the food was great. However I normally pay with a credit card and or cash. Well yesterday I had breakfast at Mimis in Corona and I used a Visa debit card that I received from ATT to pay my bill of $28.05 and left a $5.00 cash tip. Afterwards i stop at Walmart to make a purchase, it came out to $70.00 tried using the remaining $71.95 on the $100 Visa Debit card but it was declined. Long story short I used $60.00 on the card and paid cash for the remaining balance. Afterwards got home and checked my balance on the debit card and it was $6.34. Check all transaction for that day and to my surprise MiMis had charged off $33.66 on my card which I did not authorized, as I put a big 0 in the tip box as I left a $500 cash tip and put the total at $28.05. I just got $5.61 stolen from my debit card by a thief (employee) at Mimis. Word to the wise check your statements and reconcile when using any form of credit or debit card for payment. I always love breakfast, and today I had a chance to take my nephew out to breakfast. Mimi's is one of the locations around this area that is famous for it, so I thought I'd give it a try. I really like it.

I ordered the classic egg Benedicts. I rarely order egg Benedicts, but it looks really good on the menu. To my surprise, it's actually quite tasty, the flavor is actually just perfect, not too heavy and not too light on the sauce. But the portion seems to be a bit small, they could have added a little more potatoes at least. However the pancake was actually quite big.

The atmosphere was quite comfortable. I like those kind of setting, the Ambien light and their feels good. Your enjoy the setting

Oh and they have a bar for the people who likes to have a social drink...
