I was in town passing through and this place was close by, and went for s lunch special...I ordered the wrong dish and it had way too much sauce and was not spicy, but overly sweet..not a good garlic sauce like I had at other Chinese places...It was served on a stryofoam plate instead of a real one and plastic utensil...cheap and overpriced a lunch special, the drink should come with it..I should NOT have expected much from a strip mall Chinese place naming itself after the "Forbidden City." The service was not that great either I should have left when there was not a Asian person was inside eating, which has proven to be a bad sign at my countless experiences dining at every imaginable Asian/Chinese restaurant in dozens of States and places...The food also made me sick afterward and that whole day into the next...I was not sure of Chinese places in the town, and did not have much time to get lunch and this was close by...I think eating this food wrecked my digestive system..Only Perk was free refills on drinks...Fun times...

A bit torn here as the crab Rangoons are some of the best I’ve had in the city! Delicious flavor and great fry on it. The egg drop soup was also tasty. The unfortunate downside were the steamed dumplings. They were almost inedible as the dough was increasing my thick and dramatically undercooked. Couldn’t even eat them they were so bad. The attached photos shows how thick they were.

Ordered the veg fried rice. Did not even finish half of it before I gave up on it. It did not taste very good. First time I have seen veg fried rice that does not come with egg. Apparently adding eggs to the rice costs $2 more. Fried rice includes broccoli, carrots, and mushrooms. $14.45 for this rice is overpriced.

Free crab Rangoon when you spend $25, the BEST crab rangoons I've ever had! Trust me and spend the $25 they are so good! Ingredients are always fresh and every dish is packed with delicious flavors! The couple that owns this restaurant are so sweet and they're also the only employees, trust your food will always be perfect because the owner is making it! I could eat the fried dumplings here every single day, also the best dumplings I've ever had! Spring rolls are made with bok Choi and shitake mushrooms, love the flavor! Egg rolls are fantastic! Hot and sour soup and wonton soup are incredible! Everything is good! The best Chinese food in Council Bluffs hands down,...

This place is a disappointment. The best description I can give for their food is bland. We ordered extra spicy general tso chicken and Mongolian beef both with fried rice. The rice was dry. The egg rolls had excessively long strips of cabbage. The beef just squished apart, it had no firmness so the texture was weird. The chicken was fine but the sauce was bland and not spicy at all. On top of all that it’s expensive for what you get. We paid $35.00 for our two meals and the small containers weren’t even full. It’s no surprise this place is...
