So after attending a Patio Birthday Party last week. I decided to taste the food again so I can leave an honest and elaborated feedback.
From the first bite to the last, every dish at Agnii had its own story — and we loved every chapter. We started with the appetizers, and wow. The smoky soy kebab had such a satisfying texture and deep flavor it could convert any meat lover. The avocado papri chaat was a genius twist on a classic — creamy, crunchy, tangy, and beautifully plated. But the standouts? The velvet yogurt pops (yes, you read that right — yogurt on a stick!) were refreshing, inventive, and surprisingly addictive. And the lamb chops? Insanely tender with a perfect char — absolute must.
For mains, we shared the daal makhani, lamb saag, and paneer tikka masala with garlic naan and lacha paratha — and every dish was rich, layered, and soulful. The daal was slow-cooked comfort, the lamb saag was bold yet balanced, and the paneer tikka masala was creamy, smoky, and just the right hint of spice. The breads were fresh, flaky, and perfect for scooping up every last bit.
On top of that, the service was flawless — warm, professional, and genuinely passionate about the food. You don’t just feel like a customer here; you feel like a guest.
A heartfelt thank you to the owners for bringing such a vibrant, welcoming, and remarkable dining destination to Covina. You've created something...
Read moreButter Chicken is phenomenal!!! However it does not come with a side of rice which is ridiculous. Who CHARGES $25 for a tiny serving of butter chicken with no side of rice. Who orders it and pays for it, ME. That's only because I thought it was a large serving with rice . I may go back one more time to order a to go order and see if the serving is larger as my first order was through doordash now I will pick it up in person. If it's still a small serving I will never go back again
I went back for dinner and sat inside the restaurant. The server was so nice and helpful. The food absolutely devine and the plate was enough for 2 people. What i enjoyed the most is the atmosphere. Very quaint and fancy all combined in one. The water is even served fancy. When I left there was a family with 2 little girls who wanted to dine however the parents were hesitant bc of it looking so "Fancy". I told them it was perfect for them. The restaurant was classy enough for reservations yet friendly enough for children who want to act like grown ups. They asked about the 🔥🥵 spice. I told them that's the BEST Part. They adjust the heat to your liking!!!...
Read moreThis is the second time we came. We had a great experience the first time but the service went downhill significantly the second time. I think the food tastes better than other Indian restaurants in the area. However, the service wasn’t as good as we had hoped. We waited for 30 minutes to get our drinks and 40 minutes to get our food.
The tandoori chicken we ordered wasn’t cooked properly. I was surprised when the server told us there were similar complaints regarding raw tandoori chicken being served at other tables. She apologized and suggested we replace it with other dishes. However, when we received the check, she mistakenly added an extra dish that we didn’t order on our check. She also forgot to give us a paper bag for our boxes. I appreciate her effort to try to rectify all the issues and she apologized multiple times. However, I feel that there are too many things that went wrong in a dinner including the undercooked chicken.
We were quite disappointed by this experience and we don’t think we will come back again after...
