Sabor A Perú — Restaurant in Covina

This is my second time coming here and I can honestly say this is hands down my favorite place to get Peruvian food. The lomo saltado is packed with flavor and everything is cooked to order. I’ve been to other popular places in LA like Mario’s but I can say this place is a million times better. Definitely a hole in the wall place but doesn’t mean they lack anything. The Chicha Morada (drink) is so refreshing and not overly sweet like I’ve had at other places. This is my second time showing up within an hour of closing and the doña and chef have made me feel nothing but comfortable and never rush me to finish my meal. They are so inviting and welcoming and that’s part of the reason I came back here.

In conclusion this is a spot you definitely don’t wanna miss! I’ll be back here with my Peruvian friends to get their take on the place but I’m sure they’ll love it ! 10/10 Ps sorry for...

Normally will not even post any comments about my experience, but the price and quality for the food I got is not even close to be fair with quality and amount, for one dish arroz chaufa mix $30 you’ll think you are going to get a decent amount and quality, I thought they made a mistake charging that amount for one plate but it was the correct price, will not recommended and will never return to this place!

This place is amazing! I finally found a great spot for a local authentic Peruvian food! Our server Samuel was very kind and accommodating. He was very nice, friendly, professional, and attentive.

For refreshments, we were recommended to try the Maracuya (Passion Fruit) and Chicha Morada (Purple Corn Drink). Both were great refreshments! We also ordered their popular items, the Lomo Saltado and Tallarin Verde Con Pollo. The meats were very tender and juicy! There were so much flavor!
