Sophe's Donuts — Restaurant in Covina

We came in to grab some coffee before early Sunday mass... I couldn't resist getting a donut, even though we were only going for coffee. I am pretty basic and love just regular glazed. The donuts were warm at 7a... and as we were driving to church, eating my donut... "this is SO good" - me to husband... husband looks over, and replies - "ARE YOU CRYING!?"... "yes, bc i'll never get to have this again" (we're from out of town and not likely to return to the area... also we didn't discover this place until the day we were leaving).

Background, I have had a warm fresh donut before... they are very delicious, but I have never cried over a donut until now.

So... bc I cried, my husband dropped by on our way out to get us some more donuts (yes, that's two visits in one day, within 3 hrs). I did not cry a second time, but even when they aren't still warm... still better than my local favorite donut shop. I put them in my saved places list, so if I happen to be around the area again......

Went online to locate a place that can create lettering doughnuts for a birthday. I found Sophie's Donuts and did a preorder for Saturday 8/22, when i arrived she did not show me the letters, but when i saw her get the small box to place them inside my heart SANK! She taped them and handed them to me. I arrived at the party and i could not be more embarrassed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You be the judge on the pics. THIS IS NOT WORTH $25!!!!!! Is she would have shown them to me i would have TOTALLY REFUSED them, not pay and gone to buy a cake instead. GO ELSEWHERE! I wish i could post the video i took of them It’s much better.

Customers is what makes your business, I think the owner needs to remember that. My husband and I traveled ways to get here because of the good reviews, we wanted a good donut and coffee. We asked how fresh is the coffee, because I wanted a good fresh cup of coffee. She laughed at us and rolled her eyes like it was a very stupid question. Poured out the old coffee and put it into the new pot and said "see look it's fresh now." I looked at my husband we walked out. remember customers is what makes your business take a lesson in customer service sweetheart, it was a middle-aged woman that gave us the attitude most likely...
