Ordered through the mobile app. I always get the fish and chicken variety platter meal but in the comment section I add that I want all fish. I've never had an issue until now. Picked up my order and told the staff that one was supposed to be all fish. Was told they don't honor the comment section anymore and that I was supposed to alter my order through the mobile app. The problem is there is no way to alter your order through the app. I brought this to the gentlemen attention and even asked if he'd show me where in the app I'm supposed to alter my order, his response, "I don't use the app" He also said that people have been doing this to keep from paying extra for the switch. I looked on the menu and fish is 10 cent more than chicken. I would have been happy to pay the extra 30 cent but wasn't given the opportunity. This wasn't the first bad experience at this location but it certainly will be my last.
edit for the copy/paste response below I have reached out and I have spoken to the store manager or whoever she was. I got a lot of excuses and nothing more. I never got an apology for the experience, unless you count the, "we're sorry for the confusion this caused you" which is essentially code for "we did nothing wrong" She did offer three pieces of fish on my next order but I'll just take my business somewhere else. Plenty of local establishments that I'm sure would love...
Read moreLong John Silver’s is really good at what they do. My friend has been telling me about how good the food was. To tell the truth, I had expected to be underwhelmed. I am allergic to fish. I thought maybe I could find something else. Maybe fries or deep-fried chicken mumbles. Such was my pre-visit attitude.
There was parking with handicapped signs. Not unexpected but it was as close to the front door as the site allowed. This is not always the case. Sometimes the handicapped parking is farthest from the doors. Did I mention that I am handicapped? This kind of detail is important to me.
We arrived for a late lunch, around 2 pm. The attendant was patient and friendly. Food ordering was painless. I got chicken and my wife and friend got fish and chicken. We went and found a table and drinks.
It could be that it was slow at that time, but the attendant brought out food to the table. It was smiles all around. If we had brought in the wheelchair, we could have moved a chair from the table to accommodate it.
My meal was quite good and tasty. Didn’t feel too greasy and the spice mix in the batter was good. Another plus was that the place didn’t smell all that much like fish to me. A successful adventure with no follow-up trip to the emergency room...
Read moreFirst let me say that I love LJS in general. In had it as a treat when I was growing up, and is a nostalgic food for me. So I was pretty excited when my new job had this location only 5 blocks from where I was working.
The problem is that I’ve been here 4 times now at or near lunch time and have never been able to order food. All of the following has occurred over the course of only 2 months.
The first time I went they told me that the truck didn’t come so they weren’t serving anything.
The second time there were 5 cars in line so I got in line. I sat there for 18 minutes without a single car moving, so I had to give up.
The third time there just wasn’t anyone there
The fourth time I showed up a little after when they were supposed to open. It says 10:30 on the door, drive thru window and website. It was like 10:50, and the lady said that they didn’t open till 11. I was so annoyed by this point I’ve just written them completely off. I have no idea how they are able to...
