My goodness!! I’ve had my eye on this place for quite some time. I decided to celebrate here and check it out. Living in Conyers isn’t easy when it comes to amazing quality food and minority owned places to eat.

Well, ladies and gentlemen we have hit the Jack pot!!! I ordered Oxtails, Jollof rice, Black eyed peas and it came with plantains. SWEET BABY JESUS!! Yummm… I also ordered Ribs with another order of Black eyed peas (delicious) and Mac and cheese, and a veggie plate with more Mac and cheese, green beans, candied yams, and greens to go.

When I say, NOTHING disappoints, NOTHING! Maya was patient, attentive, kind and full of customer service and the majorly TALENTED Chef Carmenia came out to deliver (greeting and bringing food) pure love delectably.

Plain and simple, this place will be packed before you know it (speaking it). You know how? You know why?? Because word travels fast and they deserve the business, just like we all deserve this top notch SERVICE and TASTY FOOD!!

Support small businesses, women owned business and EXCELLENT businesses of color in remote areas like Covington, Ga. Go to the city for what??

My honest opinion from start to finish. Upon entry my party was greeted and sat immediately. The server Heather rubbed my party the wrong way with her overall lack of focus and inexperience to answer questions about menu items. The establishment was out of five different items my table asked for. I left hungry because there was nothing else I was able to order. If oxtail is going to be your highest menu item seems like you need to up the order and prep more. Even a lot of the African based menu items were not available. The vibe was ok. The food might have been good if I was able to order anything. The way my drink was rung up on which ever POS they use was weird I ordered a tequila with pineapple juice. Apparently the tequila is $8.30 the pineapple juice is $1.70. Just post that a mixed beverage is $10.00 instead of allowing for an open liquor item button. It just felt like racking the bill up. The chef/owner talked to the table very nice lady. The place I’m sure is cool for brunch or Sunday dinner. Again it was just not for me. The thing that I would say is please work on training staff about menu and favor profile and being transparent with guest.

I was concerned when they had a problem putting my sides in separate containers. (I don't like juices from other dishes in my fried crispy foods. It makes it soggy and affects the taste).

I am also concerned that the quality has downgraded on certain foods and that sometimes the meat is a little under cooked. Initially, I really liked this place as my below review will explain...

This is probably the best food I've ever tasted, I've had 3 different dishes so far. The food is PHENOMENAL!!! I have never dined-in, but this food is AMAZING... Just try it. I do not know these people, I do not work here, I have no biased reason here. I don't often leave reviews anywhere right now, but this is well above Average!!! I drive about 35 minutes to get here. Please try this food, I NEED this restaurant to STAY OPEN!!! Dear Chef, I am going to buy more often. If it stays consistent, so will I!!! This woman is NOT a cook, she is a CHEF!!!
