Bizarre establishment. Has a drive through but restaurant waiting times. Should get rid of the drive through and just do counter service. There is no visible microphone so when you're looking at the faded menu someone yells at you through a speaker and you just talk back to I don't even know where. Ordered 2 carne asada burritos and 2 tacos. There was nothing in the burrito except meat. Uhh... Where's the beans? Rice? Lettuce? Cheese? Sour cream? Anything? Why would I want a tortilla with just meat inside? Truly bizarre. And if you look too hard inside the restaurant when you're at the window, you'll lose your appetite. Not sure when they last did a deep clean and pretty sure the people taking your payment with ungloved hands walk back in to pack your food.

Beware of price changes at the register! We went through the drive thru today and noticed that they over charged for a fish burrito we ordered. They charged us $10.99, when the menu clearly says $6.99. When we brought it to the cashier’s attention, she said that the owner changed the price. Yet the menu does not reflect this change. Seems silly to complain about $4.00. Yet we usually eat at this place a couple times a month. We haven’t paid attention to this discrepancy. So how much have they “taken” from us without us paying attention?? It’s also upsetting that the cashier did not refund our $4.00. So Beware! They may be hustling money from you and you not even realizing it’s happening!!! We will not be going to this restaurant again.

The food was okay, and the service was a little weird. They were pretty busy when we got there, and the girl taking our order was obviously frustrated. Our guacamole dropped and spilled on the dirty floor and she tried to get us to just take the spilled container. It was weird. The beans and rice were really good, and the cheese and guacamole chips were pretty yummy, and so were the cheese enchiladas. Do not buy the sides of guacamole and pico de gallo for $0.70 each--complete rip off. They give you about a tablespoon, which isn't cool. The churros weren't very good, and neither was the vegetable burrito, we had it chimichanga style. The horchata was extremely watered down. If I came back again, I would probably only get beans and rice.

AWFUL EXPERIENCE!!!

We went for the drive through two mornings seeking a quick breakfast on the run. The first morning we tried to order breakfast burritos with slight modifications and the gentleman Taking the order seemed to be a combination of confused and a little annoyed or insulted about our order (we just didn’t want potatoes in our burritos). Eventually we got the order, and the eggs and salsa were sparse but ok, the tortillas huge and dry and at best mediocre.

We were up to try the place again (in a hurry, second chances, so we could eat on the run) today and so ordered burritos sans potatoes and pulled up to the window. A different guy was there, and he was openly hostile. He said that the guy from the prior day “told me about you” and he glared with such venom, at my husband and at me...the hostility was palpable and I was truly shaken.

I don’t know it they misinterpreted our attempt to avoid potatoes as somehow insulting, or if they were having a bad day. My husband had already handed over his card and we asked to cancel the order and the guy glared and held the card for a while then eventually handed it back. It was a creepy experience. Truly unsettling. We love Crescent City and will absolutely return here but but we will stay far from...

I just left this taco shop and I am not happy, I ordered two fish tacos, plain nachos and an unsweetened ice tea, my son ordered 4 rolled tacos, when I picked up my order the girl at the window gave me a lemonade, no explanation. I said "I ordered an unsweetened ice tea not a lemonade, she just said "we are out of ice tea, but instead of asking me what alternative drink I wanted She just gave me the lemonade......I thought our order was a little expensive but I paid and we left, then when we got to our destination which was less than 5 min away I looked at the order and discovered why it was so much, instead of giving my son four rolled tacos, they had given us 14! Not only that but my nachos had beef all over them, I had not ordered meat because I am a pescatarian, my fish tacos were cold, soggy and had a small portion of fish in them....I will definitely not be going back to this place and I'm just giving a heads up to anyone considering going there....we went there on a Sunday evening, not sure if this place is always like this or if it happened to be just the staff...

A year ago I ordered a Carniassada burrito... I found 3 wires in the meat. When I went back to show them the wires, I asked if this looked familiar... The worker said they were from the grill brush!! I asked for a manager to contact me and I was ignored! I love their Horchatta, you can't get anywhere else... So that's all I order from there!! Although their food is very tasty, I agree with many of the positive reviews...I used to go their often in the past years... But, I won't chance giving food to my kids, that in months or years latter may end up as an infected intestine from foreign MEATLES! Who knows if my kids or myself will end up with foreign objects later in life?? Also, the staff in general has never been very friendly anyway... They seem to want you to order and get out of there way... As if your more of a # ... So it makes it easy...
