Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Crest Hill

Ordered for catering on 1/16 to be picked up on 1/22 @2:30PM, it's pretty inconvenient that there's no option to order through app or over the phone, we have to physically be there to order while our party is in Joliet & we live in Aurora. The ordering part went smoothly, we had some questions and called back few times on Saturday afternoon and no one answered the calls, we tried again on Sunday morning we were able to reach someone. The disappointment came when we picked up our order on 1/22 @2:35PM the cashier guy seems surprised, then muttered "S*", grabbed his clip board from the wall and proceeded to tell us that he'll get the order ready. We asked him why it's not ready and he answered defensively "We were a little busy today, it's a small order of 30pcs it shouldn't take that long to prep. It'll be different if it's 100pcs!". Knowing that we are ordering food and not want anything shady done to our food, we just let it go & didn't pursue the issue any further. Such a poor organizational skill of the manager that day, he/she should be checking that catering order should be ready to be picked up on the requested pick up time & they failed to provide the correct timeline. The Popeyes in Crest Hill was excellent. Friendly staff, fast service and delicious. Unfortunately, I had 1st arrived at the Joliet Popeyes @ 10:15am, finding the doors locked, staff just taking down chairs off tables in dining area. I had knocked on door and was ignored completely while being chased by a bee. It smelt like garbage to the point of wanting to gag. The sign on the door clearly states hours from 10am-10pm, however apparently they don't abide by these hours. I give the Joliet location 0 stars. I am glad I decided to make the 7 minute drive to the Crest Hill location. I had stated my complaint to them and they lend me their listening ear. I am 100% satisfied with the Crest Hill location!! I would recommend this location to Joliet Popeyes any day to my friends, family and anyone else whom is interested in purchasing Popeyes Chicken. I will be following up this post by contacting the better business bureau and how fantastic the Crest Hill location was and how extremely disappointed I am in the Joliet location. In my opinion the Joliet location could learn a lot from the Crest Hill location. Crazy experience!!! Ordered a 12 piece wing combo and a mac. The mac always good but the chicken was purple in the muddle. I ened up trying opening up different pieces to see if it was just only one piece but it was the whole thing. So i take it back ofc and ask for a new one because im not eating raw chicken. The lady instantly tell me shes only making me 6 wings and says she is not counting the ones I opened up😂 literally they all have meat on them just opened up to see the bone. So I ask for a whole new order as i simply explain the whole order was raw. The manager continues to argue with me infront of customers. Eventually makes my meal and i leave now the picture you see is from my first bite if the second meal i was given😭 atp im disgusted and just want my money back. So i go back again !! And ofc the lady just ignoring me. Funny thing is another customer walks in and trying to order and calls the manager out on how rude she always is any time she comes there. Ofc the manger continues to argue infornt of everyone making a scene. And this is the same time im being ignored to get my problem fixed when they created it.
