Dry pizza lately, expect little sauce. A year ago, I gave this location 5 stars, but now, I drive further to pick up at another Dominos.
I don't know why, but this store was skimping on sauce for multiple consecutive orders. We called them out on it the 2nd time it happened and the manager explained that it had more sauce when they made it, that the cheese soaked up the sauce. This phenomenon was news to me, as I was unaware that cheese now has such a physical property. They were kind enough to remake our pizza, but our pizza was again dry and barely showing any evidence of sauce; we were foiled as the cheese was once again able to consume the sauce before we could.
On our subsequent visit, the manager informed me that he sent evidence off (from our previously returned pizza) to his district manager but that they confirmed the appropriate amount of sauce was on the pizza. (At this point, I realized that we must have been flagged as either not having reasonable expectations or for being skeptical about this new nefarious cheese). Sadly, we were still unsatisfied with the pizza on this visit. We began to conclude that either cheese was now the new enemy of sauce, or maybe the availability of sauce due to some supply chain reason or some pandemic related excuse was causing Dominos to alter their sauce quantity to a new low not seen since the dust bowl era.
Our scientific approach to this problem would lead us to other Dominos. Fortunately, we found that the Dominos further north at McKelvey does not have this same issue with dry, sauce challenged pizza. They must be using the good old normal cheese that doesn't absorb the sauce. So we'll be going there from now on when we crave some Dominos pizza.
Good luck to the staff at the Olive location and their new sauce...
Read moreMy boss called to place an order at this location off my phone. We gave them our address, They said yes looks good, took our order and he asked to pay cash when it arrived. This is the closest location that pops up when googling so we assumed it would be fine but called to make sure we could get it delivered. After a while I called to check on where our order was (because it was almost two hours) and was interrupted immediately when giving our address. I was interrupted multiple times when trying to explain we already ordered but he heard the location and was like nope, wasn’t us, you called a call center. I told him I called the same exact number my boss called before on my phone. He kept telling me nope, call center. And wouldn’t let me say I already ordered and it’s been two hours with no call and no pizza and I need to explain the situation. I did ask him to please stop interrupting me and let me explain but he was hyper focused on the location and just kept saying call center. He eventually did let me explain. I’m frustrated at the customer service I received today. it’s 2.5 hours later and no food, no communication (even if it was an address issue and it had to be cancelled), and then loud/a little rude when I called to ask about my order. Here’s proof I did in fact call the same number, Karl. Signed the hungry pregnant lady Karl yelled at and was just doing what my boss told me calling to check on where...
Read moreThe food was great, but the service from one particular employee was completely unacceptable. When I arrived to pick up my order, I spoke with a very polite gentleman who confirmed my food was cooking after I provided my name. While waiting, I checked the board and saw another order with a similar name but a different last initial, so I asked to verify that my order was correct.
Before the employee could respond, another man—a Black man with glasses—suddenly shouted “LAST NAME” at the top of his lungs, as if I was just supposed to yell my last name across the restaurant. It was completely unnecessary and aggressive. Even the cashier, who had been helping me, closed his eyes and shook his head like he had seen this behavior before.
This particular employee, who I assume is a manager, is always rude when I come in. Everyone else at this location is professional and pleasant, but this guy is consistently dismissive and hostile. I’ve worked in the restaurant and hospitality industry for over a decade, and this is not how you treat customers. You don’t bark orders at people the moment they walk in.
This isn’t the first time, but today was the last straw. If I come in again and this behavior continues, I will not just ignore it. I hope this gets addressed because it’s ruining what would otherwise be a great experience at your...
