For my boys and I this is not a Restaurant, this is a tradition. After every soccer win, after every success at school, and on a nice day.. Oishi.. Lobster sushi baby!! Some call it food, we call it dessert. We usually eat at the Ballas location. There is one in Chesterfield as well and they have a hibachi grill there. Expensive for us, but a LOT of fun. So we splurge from time to time. It's a wonderful place. Cannot say enough about it.
Edit 2022 (March) This breaks my heart. Twice we've been there in the last month or two and twice the food was not the quality it used to be. The menu, which used to be a beautiful 4 color book, is now a piece of paper printed with a laser printer. The waiter saw that we did not eat 95% of the lobster sushi and said "you want a box?" I replied "No, it's not very good". Sadly I have to assume he did not have the training to realize the seriousness of this when a long time customer says your signature dish is no good. He simply responded "okay" and I paid the bill and left. My kids grew up eating there. We will miss it. ...

Unfortunately the food was super disappointing. Reviews showed that the phad Thai was good so I tried it, but it was incredibly bland and the chicken was very tough and overcooked.
The crab Rangoon were also strangely bland. (My fav is from Mai Le or Lobster Rangoon from Kobé).
I also got the squid and vegetable tempura and it literally had no flavor. It just tasted like veggies fried with just plain flour... No tempera crunchy flakes, but just flour. The tempura sauce was a little helpful, but the blandness wasn’t avoidable. The squid was like a rubber band texture that I couldn’t bite though and tasted like freezer burn.
Have not tried their sushi, but am reluctant to after trying these dishes.
Will most likely still trek to Thai Sawadee the next time we are...
Read moreI have eaten here three times within the past nine months and have always had a positive experience. The sushi and noodle dishes are delicious! They have a good variety of entrees. Everything is worth its price. Last time I went (last week) I ordered to-go, and they messed up my order by keeping the sauce on my sushi. When I opened my to-go box and we both saw that there was sauce on the sushi, without me saying anything, the host said they would fix it, saying it would only take 10 minutes. He was right: within 10 minutes not only was my sushi roll remade without sauce, but the sauce off the other roll to avoid contamination. He told me I could keep the original rolls that had sauce on them for no extra charge. Great customer service! I would go here for lunch or dinner, but not for happy hour since they do not have good happy...
