My husband and I bought our wedding bands here and had a great experience shopping & purchasing! Gai and Tiffany helped us, and we both found exactly what we were looking for. Very happy with our wedding bands and that experience.
We did, however, have an experience that we are not happy about. I went to pick up our wedding bands about a week before our wedding and the salesperson noticed my engagement ring was too big. She offered to have it resized that same day and guarantee I could pick it up later that day⊠great! I agreed. My brand new wedding band was a size 6.5 (measured in store & fit my finger perfectly). We double checked, and verbally agreed that a 6.5 was perfect and thatâs what my engagement ring would be sized to. The jeweler came out to see my ring and confirmed heâd have it done that day. I (again) verbally said size 6.5, same as my wedding band. He took my ring and I left. When I returned a few hours later and tried on my newly sized engagement ring, it was TIGHT, but I was able to get it on with some maneuvering and lots of redness to my finger. I mentioned that it was much tighter than my wedding band but thought maybe I was swollen. I happened to notice on the ticket that it was sized to a 6, not a 6.5 as discussed. I verbalized it, and was told âour jeweler has been in the industry for 40 years. He looked at your finger and knew it was a size 6â âŠI said that is not what we agreed upon, and itâs very tight. Iâm not going to be able to solder them without getting it resized again. I was then met with âwe can resize it again. But you wouldnât have known it was a 6 had you not seen the ticket. Heâs a professional and knew by looking at your finger that itâs a size 6. I was very upset by this comment, as it seemed to lack integrity and professionalism. Especially since I had verbally agreed on 6.5 with TWO employees. âYou wouldnât have known had you not seen the ticketâ is a shocking statement to hear coming from someone handling your precious and expensive jewelry. My engagement ring does go on, but is tight and uncomfortable and my finger turns red when I put it on or take it off. I know I can get my engagement ring resized again, but I also know that the more you resize it, the band is weakened. While we did have a good experience shopping for our wedding bands, I am extremely disappointed with the experience involving my engagement ring. A few years ago, we first visited to choose my engagement ring, and the staff member who assisted us was incredibly sweet, helping us find the perfect ring. She provided detailed explanations about warranties, cleanings, and answered any questions we had.
A few weeks before our wedding, we returned to have both of our rings cleaned (his being an old family heirloom) while we were in the area for brunch with our wedding officiant. About an hour later, we received a call informing us that both rings were clean and ready for the big day, but they discovered that two tiny diamonds were missing from my husband's band. They offered to fix it, which brought tears to my eyes. The significance of that band to my husband made their willingness to help meant the world to us.
When we returned to pick up our rings, we met Gai, who was just as delightful as ever. My husband surprised me by expressing his desire to get me a wedding band since we were already there. Gai was incredibly helpful in selecting a beautiful wedding band for me. During our conversation, I mentioned wanting to look for a band for him as well. Although I knew he wasnât keen on getting one, I wanted to find something special for him within my tight budget due to wedding things.
She explained the ongoing sales and even offered financing options, detailing the process. We eventually found the perfect ring for him, which he proudly shows off whenever he can. I decided to finance it, and the monthly payments are quite manageable. We ordered his ring, and I was pleased to learn that I wouldn't have to make a payment until after we picked it up.
About a month after the wedding, I returned to have my wedding band resized because it felt a bit loose. They promptly resized it for me and had it ready the same day. Unfortunately, I was almost home when they called, so I returned the following week to collect it. To my surprise, they informed me that my husband's ring had finally arrived that same day. So, instead of just picking up my wedding band, I walked away with two!

   Read moreCould not speak more highly of my experience at Diamonds Direct and especially my personal sales associate, Garreth. I had no previous experience with diamond shopping, and wanted to surprise my girlfriend so I didn't ask her any questions, but Garreth guided me every step of the way.
My first experience with DD was my third stop of the day on a Saturday afternoon 'ring crawl'. I had decided to stop into all of the big diamond stores I heard about on the radio and give them all a try. From the moment I walked into DD it just felt different. I was greeted with my choice of wine or beer, a nice gesture for a prospective customer looking to drop a seemingly large amount of money.
I had read a little about diamond grades and the 4 C's but DD has a brochure that Garreth walked me through and then we talked about diamonds and he brought out a few to look at. The thing I liked about the larger diamond stores is that they have multiple diamonds in store that you can look at in empty ring settings and really get an idea of what the ring will look like. I'm a hands on person and like to have a say in what I picked out, instead of them just bringing a single diamond in store.
After I picked a center stone out, I described the setting I was looking for. While they had things similar, they offered to create a CAD drawing of exactly what I had described and design a custom setting so that my fiancee would have a one of a kind ring which was awesome.
Finally, the thing I appreciated most about my experience, aside from the selection and in-store customer experience, was that Garreth shared his personal cell phone with me so that I could text him questions and receive updates from him regarding the status of the ring. I got cold feet about the diamond I had originally picked out and he continued to stay patient, showed me even more diamonds over three more trips, and helped me find the perfect ring for my perfect girl.
