I've been to plenty of Panera's, and I'm usually a fan. Tasty sandwiches and decent coffee. Usually...
I went for breakfast and ordered a sandwich and iced coffee. The avocado, egg white, and spinach sandwich was fine. Nothing to comment there. Coffee was a different story. First off, I was given a paper cup. I did a double-take and thought maybe she heard me say 'hot coffee' instead. I checked the receipt and it did indeed say 'iced coffee.' That's fine, no biggie. I got a little bit of ice and filled up with iced coffee. I took and sip and thought I was drinking water mildly flavored with coffee. I thought maybe I added too much ice, though in retrospect, not enough time had elapsed for much melting to occur. I poured it out and filled up with just the iced coffee. Same thing. Okay, maybe that's why I was given a paper cup - because I was going to be forced to go with hot coffee instead.
Most Panera's I've been do have a nice spread of coffee. This one had decaf, light roast, dark roast, and hazelnut. Not a great selection, but it would do. I went with hazelnut. Nothing... Fine, I went with the dark roast. I found a worker to report the two issues - iced coffee that tasted like water and hazelnut coffee being out. Five minutes later, on my way out, I noticed that there was a sign on the hazelnut coffee, which I imagine said it was out. I just think for an establishment that sells coffee, you need to keep better track of how much coffee is left. Especially during...
Read more5/27/2020 Updated Review: I'm not sure if this Bread Co has been under new management or leadership, but since my previous review from 2018 they have definitely stepped up their game. I go there a lot and sometimes they make mistakes, but a simple call to them and they make it right and then some. I recently went through the drive-thru and they were out of wraps, but the cashier made another suggestion of ciabatta bread and my sandwich was so delicious that I order another one today. I will continue coming here and supporting them.
Previous Review: This Bread Co is constantly out of "something." I have gone here four times in the last week and three times they were out of mac 'n cheese. They also need to cut their avocado slices thinner. I feel like I'm eating half of an avocado in one bite because it's so chunky on my sandwiches, which has been twice now. Today, they were so busy during lunch that the staff had to redo three orders due to errors just in the time I was there (about 15 minutes waiting for my order). It does not seem like this Bread Co has their stuff together and they should re-evaluate. I understand completely that the mad rush hour during lunchtime can get frustrating and set you back, but you can do...
Read moreAs I was walking into the Panera location, an employee was smoking right outside the front door. I can not believe people are this rude and inconsiderate, basically forcing anyone to enter or leave this "restaurant" to breathe in cigarette smoke. I was curious, so I called "customer service" with Panera and was told this is perfectly fine with the Company because employees can do as they please on break. Ok, Now I Know. If you would like to get a meal here, be prepared to walk through cigarette smoke from their disgusting employees. Imagine that employee then preparing your food, without washing their hands after a smoke break, as I watched this women re-enter this "restaurant" without using a sink or bathroom to clean up. Panera's Company Policy is to allow employees to do whatever on break, even if it causes headaches for people trying to enter their business. Imagine the lack of discipline these employees have, if they have no common sense to smoke where others are trying to get a meal. Avoid this Company if you want your meal prepared by people who are not disgusting and actually have respect for...
