I work in this area, so I am always looking for new and interesting places to have lunch. I was psyched when I saw that Tzatziki’s was open, so I dropped in - not knowing what to expect, except for probably standard Greek fare like gyros, falafel, salads, and baklava. I was right on all of those accounts, but the menu was a little deeper than that, so I look forward to coming back. Being able to sit outside on a beautiful day was a huge plus - there aren’t many outdoor dining options in the area. I had the lamb gyro, and stuck with chips and a side (fruit cup). The flavors and presentation of the food were great. The lamb gyro was yummy, but the meat is a little more ground/crumbly than what I was expecting - so don’t expect the meat to be in sliced strips like at other Greek restaurants that have the meat sliced off of a rotisserie. Note: I didn’t watch it get made, so it very well may have been prepared that way - it is just that the final result was more crumbly than I had expected - either way, super yummy. I might order extra sauce in the future bc it was really good. The chips were crisp. The fruit was fresh and good (watermelon, grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew, and pineapple). I might try the grilled veggies next time - and the upgradeable side look interesting too. The atmosphere and experience was in line with something like a McAllister’s or Chicken Salad Chick. Fast-casual feel, with healthy options but still hits a certain level of comfort food. Real silverware is nice to have and is located at the tables, though I had to snag some from a different table. Another plus for me is the pellet ice for the fountain soda. Obviously not a deal breaker but it did make me happy when I saw it.
The bathroom was clean and very nice.
The value was average. I got the sandwich, included sides, and drink for about $16. It wasn’t grossly overpriced nor did I feel like I’d be able to eat there for lunch more than once every couple of weeks. Though it looks like the chicken, falafel, and veggie pitas provide less expensive alternatives...
Read moreThis is my first time at Taziki's. The staff was laughing and having a good time when I came in, which was fun. It is good to see people enjoying their jobs! Just because of this, I left a tip, even though it was counter service for a carryout order. The drink area was spotlessly clean, well stocked, and organized. I ordered a lamb gyro with a side cucumber & tomato salad, plus a side of falafel with taziki sauce, and a piece of baklava cheesecake. The gyro was generous in size and the pita was fresh and soft. It included ground lamb instead of traditional shaved meat, but was seasoned nicely, but maybe a bit mild. The spring-mix lettuce did not stand up to the warmth of the meat and was soft, dark, and wilted. I think Romain lettuce would be a more appropriate choice for a warm gyro and add freshness and crunch. I was surprised there did not seem to be any feta on the gyro. I loved the cucumber & tomato salad, which was flavorful with perfect seasoning. When I return I think I will order my gyro without lettuce, add a side of feta, and top the gyro with the tomato & cucumber salad. The falafel was perfectly cooked and not dry like some other places. It had a chunkier texture than I expected, but I loved the spiciness, which had a bite to it. The two olives and peperocini with the falafel were a nice addition. The baklava cheesecake was amazing! As already mentioned, I will definitely be back, but with some changes to my order. I'm excited to share with my...

I ordered online with a pickup time of 11:30a. When I arrived at 11:25a, my order was already sitting on the shelf. No idea how long it had been sitting there. Neither gyro was hot, just kind of warm...
The chicken was a bit dry and it was just a few huge pieces. It would be nice if it was cut into smaller chunks. The rice had a weird taste. I think it was lemon. I tried to cover it up with some soy sauce but that didn't help. I tried the roasted potatoes as well, and they also had a bit of that flavor. Both came with more chips this time, so maybe my previous review had some impact. Was it worth the $10 that I paid for both? Yes. But I would not pay $10.49 for just one.
2024-07-10: I tried this a few days after it opened. It was OK, but nothing impressive. I had the Lamb Gyro with chips and tomato/cucumber salad. The gyro was a bit small and came with maybe 10 chips and the salad wasn't bad. Unfortunately, the are many other places in the area that are better and/or are a better value.
The music was kind of loud. And it seems like they don't know what kind of restaurant they want to be: order at the counter, self serve drinks, but they bring the food to your table and have...
