Wendy's — Restaurant in Cromwell

I went to Wendy's tonight and there was only 2 other people ahead of me. The worker's messed up their drinks and it took 15 minutes to get their order correct! I waited inside for over 20 minutes with a full staff on that was completely incompetent except for the poor woman that was the only one working! The rest of the staff were all young guys who were absolutely clueless, just standing there and acted like they weren't on the clock! The drive through was dead and so after waiting over 20 minutes inside, I decided to go through the drive through hoping it was faster. I paid at the first window and when I pulled up at the second window, the guy tried to charge me again, but this time for $22 plus change. My order was $11 when I paid at the first window. Unbelievable! Then I asked the male worker if there was extra cheese on my fries which I had ordered and he said, "I don't know." He then proceeds to hand my Baconator fries with slim to nil cheese on it, not melted mind you, when I paid extra for the cheese! REALLY! I asked for a plastic knife so I could split the Chicken avocado blt with my passenger and of course it's not in the bag or any napkins for that matter! Never going back, ever! Dreadful experience! I felt like I was in the Twiilight Zone! The only nice worker was the only woman working. There was 4 or 5 other young guys working yet they were the most incompetent staff I've ever dealt with minus the woman who was doing everything and double the age of the rest of the staff! Appalling! I worked 20 plus yrs in the restaurant industy and have never seen anything like it! I'm stunned! The bathroom was messy and deplorable and one staff worker was smoking a cigarette directly outside as I was leaving to go through the drive through! Real nice since I'm a cancer survivor. This place was completely slow, incompetent and again no customers were there, not even in the drive through except for me and 2 women ahead of me!!! Oh and I asked for an ice water which came with 2 cubes of ice which melted before I drove away! Utter...

Went there tonight and was told my Biggie Bag would be upcharged because they only had lemonade and no soda. Paid the extra, whatever. But I ordered Frostys because I and my wife both have frosty tags. We get to the window and get our stuff, and there are no Frostys. So I politely asked for the Frostys and showed the tags. Not a big deal he forgot. He was very polite and even calmly tried to explain to the manager who asked if I got my food what I was just sitting at the window for. Then the manager yells at me and says, "NEXT TIME SAY IT AT THE ORDER BOX!" I politely mentioned I did, and she gave me more attitude. It took the staff member a few minutes to make the new thin mint Frostys, and he handed them to us. I said to the employee jokingly. "Damn, Wendy's always finding ways for you to work harder," aiming at the work they have to put into the Frosty. The manager proceeded to push the employee out of the way, gave me a dirty look, and slammed the window in my face with force. I did nothing wrong. 🤷🏽 If she didn't hear me order the Frostys, that's not on me. The customer is always right, especially in a case like this! We go here weekly; I guess it's time to change to a new fast...

I have been to this Wendys twice in the last month. The first time I was there It took me 10 minutes just to order and there wasn't anyone new in line just the people who already ordered their food waiting inside. A lady comes in while I wait presumably from the drive through saying that her food was cold. She gets her new meal before I get mine which I ordered 5 minutes ago. The manager was walking around at a snail's pace while people were clearly agitated. Everyone waiting was talking about how long it is taking. I finally got my food, ate and left. The next time I am there I order the double big bacon classic. The cashier puts it in for a single and after seeing this I go back up and they make me a new one. While I was eating my food the female manager is screaming "Who made fish!?!? We don't make fish unless a customer orders it!! That's what (Another female manager) said!! You don't believe me?? Let's call her!!" This place seems to have poor management from my view. However, I would say both times I was there the food was great...
