I had a very unfortunate experience with an employee. I went there at around 8:50 pm on a Saturday, which I understand is late, but it gives employees no reason to be rude. I told the employee that I wanted a coconut and pistachio shake, and even asked him if they had the flavors available to ensure I got the right shake.
When I got a coconut shake, without a hint of pistachio, I kindly told the employee this. He was incredibly rude about it and told me āyou said only coconut,ā and yet I was charged for a shake with two different flavors rather than one. I told him that, no, my shake was not done correctly. He was visibly angry and the cup broke during the process of him making the second one, so he had to put one under it.
I did not get the employeeās name, but he was working with a blonde young man and his hair was dark brown. As someone who has been a customer for years, I donāt think Iāll return afterwards. The cups were also incredibly flimsy and another shake I had ordered broke as soon as I picked it up from my car from the bottom of the cup.
Additionally, in two separate occasions I have ordered a banana split, paid the price for such, only to find out I was not given bananas ā meaning I was scammed out of something, making me pay more for absolutely nothing. If thereās no bananas in stock, I would appreciate to be told such. Usually thereās some girls that work here that are good at telling me thereās no bananas in stock, but itās the young men that Iāve always had issues with in terms of their attitude and them not giving me...

Both locations operate in the walk-up style, where you order at a counter then take away to a bench, car or picnic table. There is no indoor seating or ordering counter. They have similar flavors at both locations, sometimes with different names. We have gone to Durham Dari-serv for years, and since discovering Cromwell Creamery last year, we now go to both depending on which area we are in. As a sidenote, lines are typically shorter in Cromwell, which is nice.
I definately recommend getting one of the many flavors of hard ice cream they have. They are much better than typical store-bought flavors with much larger quantities of the ingredients than you would find in a store. For example anything with chocolate pieces is loaded with them instead of a few small chips. Also if you order anything with peanut butter there is ALOT, which is great. They also have alot of unique flavors and uncommon pairings which are always good to try out.
If you are in the area and want good ice cream, definately stop in and...

Service has slowed down considerably, Flavors of ice cream are unavailable and my biggest gripe is that something is wrong with the soft serve ice cream and it is not being repaired or addressed. No explanation is givenā¦just handed a bowl with liquidity ice cream with a cone on top!!! Excuse me but please resolve this issue. Iāve been getting this ice cream for years. I need a better response or explanation. If itās brokenā¦. Please fix it!!! Very...
