Spalding House — Restaurant in Crosby

My family and I have been coming to Crosby for over 30 years and used to frequent the Spalding religiously.. it's beautiful but the service isn't. We've had icky experiences in the past couple years so had stopped going. But decided to try again when we went to the farmers market yesterday.. so we came in for a bloody (there were 4 other people in the bar) and when I asked for a bloody the bartender was very frustrated. "Oh man, I knew you were gonna say that" and begrudgingly started getting materials out. I simply said "oooook- nevermind, I'll take a beer" he was ok after that. I've been bartending over 20 years and asking for a bloody mary at 10 am on a Saturday shouldn't be cause for being frustrated... 10 at night-i could see. Great place, I just don't...

It was a nice bar to sum this up, I entered and the bar is a long bar with an outside smoking area and seating arrangement, multiple tables, very respectful bartenders with fast paced drink making. Mens bathroom is unique in style, they have multiple T.V's I'm not sure if they are 4k but it sure seems like it. They play multiple channels so you aren't only watching sports, depends on the time you are there. Very clean bar. My experience here is that it is the worst place for bar bingo! I made a reservation and upon arriving I didn’t have a reserved table but was told to take one that wasn’t reserved. We sat near the caller and restrooms. The caller was so loud and when I asked if they could turn the volume down I was told no because those in the back would not be able to hear however if they turned the music down during bingo those in the back would be able to hear!
