EDIT: Below was my original review. This has been corrected! We went back to McAlister's after our first experience that wasn't great. I've updated the ratings to show for our new experience. After being contacted by upper management, we were given the opportunity to experience McAlister's again and what a different experience it was. We were greeted with a smile, our order was taken in a professional manner, and the overall service was wonderful. Our order was fresh, hot, and correct.I got the opportunity to finally try the sweet tea that I've heard so much about. It is top notch and I don't even drink sweet tea normally. Our food was absolutely amazing. We both decided to get the French dip and I'm sure glad we did. What a great sandwich! I also had a apple caramel cookie and that topped off a wonderful meal. Our family will definitely be back. McAlister's seized the opportunity to gain a life long customer! We will definitely be back with our family. We were highly satisfied and I do recommend trying it out if you haven't. Everyone has a bad day every once in awhile, it's what you do afterwards that counts in the long run, and they definitely corrected any previous issues we had. That's why I always give a place a second chance when they try and fix what was wrong the first go round. I'm very happy we did. Everything was great. I recommend trying the French dip, the tomato cucumber salad and definitely the sweet tea!
Not one customer in the place (probably due to the high price) and we barely got a hello or welcome of any sort. The girl taking our order obviously didn't want to be there. She also was asking my family what drink they wanted like it came with the sandwich, it doesn't. Only after she got to me, I asked . They don't, she was just ringing them up. When we ordered, since nobody was in the place I figured less than 10 minutes to make 4 sandwiches. I was definitely wrong on that! The cook was too busy yapping it up with the counter girl and had no care in the world to make our order. He literally stood in the window talking to her for the first 5 minutes we were waiting. It took about 20 minutes to make 4 sandwiches. Also, almost every sandwich that we wanted had avocado on it. They ran out. So we had to switch from our original order if we wanted a complete sandwich. I understand that happens sometimes due to things out of control, as I've worked in the industry for 20+ years. But everything else on top of it makes us not want to go back. Pricey, terrible service, and long wait times must be an issue because the place was empty during prime time. The food, although not exactly what we wanted was good. But with the...
Read moreI cannot speak to the location atomosphere itself, but to the service received for a delivery. It seems they were out of two of the items I had ordered. NOONE called me to let me know this. Only AFTER the delivery driver picked up the order and left I received a text stating that I was being refunded for one of the two meals I had ordered. Had someone called, I could have easily substituted with a like item so that there was no extra effort or additional cost. Then I get a message that the door dash delivery person left it on my porch 10 minutes prior at my doorstep. I was standing at my door. I call the driver and ask where it is. She dropped it off at my front door. Nope! at my neighbors house is where she put it. Normally, anyone would just go to the neighbors house and get it, however, it had rained prior and there was light rain, and puddles of water on the ground. I am in a motorized wheelchair, which means I had to cover the motor so water wouldn't get on it (this takes time and was why I ordered delivery so i wouldnt have to do this, get in my car and drive somewhere), so here I am wasting time wrapping the motor, and driving my chair through puddles down my long driveway, over to the neighbor's long driveway that she said it was at to find it was at another neighbor's house to find my order. I had to hunt for my dinner. Needless to say, my dinner was VERY cold by the time I got it into my house. Then when I opened the dinner, it was messily put together so that it fell apart when I tried to eat it. The meal was for 2. One of us did not get the dinner we ordered. So I paid 2 different service fees, plus a generous tip to the driver, which was grossly wasted, that caused me extra work to get my cold food. I truly dislike giving negative reviews, but McAllistars extremely Lazy service has made it so I will not order from them again. I do eat out often, and tip generously, I will not, however, do it there, and I will not suggest them to others (which I do often). No skin off their nose i am sure, and they obviously could care less. I am sure others have had better service, just not me. IMO it left me truly...
Read moreUPDATE: I wanted to update my post after Charlotte took the time to email me and also call me and speak with about the situation. I truly appreciate her hospitality and concern. I didn't just feel like a random person she was calling to try and act like she cared. She truly seemed concerned and like she was upset over the situation. I appreciate her listening to my concern and taking it seriously and addressing the situation to make sure this doesn't happen to other customers. I know and understand customer service isn't easy and I know everyone has an off day, but kindness and respect go a long way as well as a simple "I'm sorry". Charlotte thank you and your shift leader that worked with you today for making my concerns heard and addressed.
One of the worst experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. I suggest to not order over the phone or through the app because you will not get all your food and was you call and tell them you are told "don't go through the drive thru you'll hold our line up" stood 20 minutes in line to get my missing items and the shift leader that was a red head womwn with glasses was the rudest thing. She just stared at me, never said sorry or how could she make the experience better. Instead she stared at me and then handed me my food without a word and walked away. I refuse to step foot back into this place after their rude employees and...
