I had a rude enough experience that I wanted to make a review after more than one encounter like this here. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised to see other people posting the same experience. We always came here first because they make cute donuts for kids. I initially started coming in on Tuesdays and Thursdays to get a donut and kolache for my young son before school and did this many times before one of the employees (who even helped me personally with the same order before) suddenly told me I have to purchase more than that amount to come in. Some people only want a donut and a kolache? Lol. I was baffled I hadn’t been told this before if it really was an issue and I had clearly become a loyal customer. I stopped coming in for that reason and reluctantly did eventually begin coming back in on some weekends. Today I came in excited to place a pretty big order for my family and all I did was ask if the jumbo kolache that was left on one side was regular or jalapeño. She answered so I confirmed the other four large ones left were the other type. She thought I was asking to order them but I told her I was asking to confirm the type. She stopped, rolled her eyes, and was visibly irritated that I was not ordering quick enough for her, I suppose. The answer she provided, I would have actually just changed up my order based on what was left. With that response, I told her I was going somewhere else. I have no idea why many of the employees are so rude here. There is a younger girl who is beyond sweet so hopefully people get her service. I went over to “Best Donuts” in front of Kroger. They are always very nice there, have a drive-thru, and have began making cute donuts for kids too. Even though DS Donuts are tasty, their service is so hard to deal with, I would recommend going somewhere else. It’s not worth it and they will not be my first choice...
Read moreI placed an order on 12/15 for my child’s elementary school class party on 12/17. I ordered 2 dozen Christmas themed donuts and 2 dozen sausage rolls. The person who took my order was friendly and they even gave me a 10% discount for my larger order. I showed up on the 17th to pick up my order and they told me they gave away all of my reserved sausage rolls. I was shocked and furious. I had no time to go to another donut shop and nothing else to take because I foolishly thought there would be no way I would not have my full order. They did apologize, but defended themselves with “it was a crazy morning”. They gave me a box of 9 sausage rolls (I’m assuming it is what they had left once they realized what they had done) that they gave to me for free, but I still had to go to another donut shop for the 2 dozen sausage rolls to be able to have enough for each student in the class. While I appreciate the small attempt to rectify the problem, I will not be returning to D’s donut shop and will be making sure to let my follow room parents know that they should go to another donut shop when ordering...
Read moreOn December 24th I bought a half dozen of donuts. One of my selections was a “glaze donut” apparently I had mentioned a product she was not familiar with? Rather than saying sir we don’t have plain glaze donuts, but we do have cinnamon glaze. The rudeness and impatient response of the associate overshadowed the quality (freshness and flavor of their product) I had become accustomed too. Unfortunately, this is not first time this behavior has been noted. We have been frequenting this establishment since 2017. I don’t recall the rudeness or impatience. I am sure management has changed since 2017 not sure if it was for the better? All customers deserve to be educated on...
