Update December 2024 We came in for lunch one day as I had a free lunch gift card from previous visit where they had taken my order, but did not have the salmon to go on the salad. My last experience which was sometime in 2023 wasn’t totally negative, but they just didn’t seem to have it together. I like to give places another try and see how they’re doing. So I ordered the nuke’s favorite with salmon as well as a Greek salad. I presented the gift card and they declined to accept the card saying this card is expired. I was obviously a little shocked, and the manager said that one of the employees have been giving the cards out to her friends. I explained to him the issue with the nonexistent salmon and he acknowledged and accepted the card so I did get a free lunch, but I guess you get what you pay for because the salmon was like cardboard. It looked like it had been grilled then frozen then microwaved and put on my salad. Just so dry and no flavor that after a couple of bites I just pushed it aside and did not eat it. I guess I didn’t read the menu either because the nukes favorite also has chicken in it. The chicken was also flavorless, but it had more flavor than the salmon. All in all the salad itself was ok. The greens were fresh. The dressing tasted good. But the attention to flavor on the salmon and the chicken was definitely lacking.
I will likely not be returning.

December 2022 We had lunch here earlier today and were surprised by the cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms. It has been forever since I ate at a Newks. Not sure why because they really have some great salads. They also do pizzas and sandwiches and soups. We had the Newks Favorite and Shrimp and Avocado salads. Both were loaded with good ingredients and tasted great.
The croutons are supposed to be house made but they were not crunchy but rather really chewy. I just picked around them, not what I would consider croutons. It was almost like they had been refrigerated and had absorbed moisture from elsewhere.
Regardless, we will definitely be going back..

Read more2025: The GM, Joseph, is great! 2024: New owners about 3 months ago. Major improvement! Food and service has been so much better the past few months. 2023: Customer service is terrible! They need go through training like Chick-Fil-A to see how much better it should be. Unfortunately, I like the food most of the time so I visit weekly and usually overlook the non-friendly drive thru. This visit, the drive thru person would not listen when I told him I wanted the large pair, which should have been 13.49 + tax. He entered the pizza and salad separately and told me it was 22.00. I explained that I ordered the large pair. He said it's 22.00. I told them to cancel my order because that was not right. The manager came over and he said it's 22.00. I said how much is a large pair? He changed it and said with tax it's 14.00. I said that is correct. But I could see the drive thru person complaining to another employee so I left and went to Chick-Fil-A where I received outstanding...
Read moreRecently our son relocated back to a new job in N AL from Dallas, TX. While attending UA & Ole Miss. he always enjoyed eating at Newk’s. Tonight, on his way home from work, he decided to stop at the new Cullman Newk’s. He ordered, paid for his food, & then patiently watched as other patrons behind him ordered and received their food. After a lengthy period of time, he heard the waiters laughing and noticed they were eating. They had lost his order and were eating his food! Inexcusable! At the present time he drives 2 hours each way to work. He is extremely disappointed in Cullman Newk’s! They said the manager was not present; he got a refund for his order, and left to finish his 2 hour drive home. Cullman Newk’s probably lost a loyal customer tonight....
