I randomly stumbled across this lovely restaurant on a short trip to LA! I came here two days in a row! The first time was for a quick business lunch and the second time I came my whole family and friends for an early dinner. Wow, both times were amazing! The food was super tasty, service was top notch, and the atmosphere was hip and chill! The first time I got a jerk chicken sandwich and a side of crispy shoe string fries along with a fancy mock tail! I loved everything! The sandwich was an explosion of flavors while also being well balanced in taste! The service was friendly and attentive. For the business lunch I only had a limited time and they were able to accommodate me right away. For my second visit, I got their grilled salmon with a side of seasoned rice. I also got to try their Brussels sprout and truffle garlic Parmesan fries. Everything was cooked to perfection! My family and friends also loved their food and enjoyed the atmosphere. My husband was able to watch a European soccer match he couldn’t get at our hotel. This restaurant and elevated sports bar checks off all boxes for everyone! I would be a regular if I was in living in LA!

I’d been eager to try N17 The Lane for some time, and it did not disappoint. My group sampled a variety of dishes: the hamburger, fries, Caesar salad, wings, Dad’s Banh Mi, bread pudding, chocolate chip cookie, and ice cream. Everything was delicious, and I’d absolutely return for more. There’s something special about mom-and-pop spots like this—the cozy, homey vibe really shines through. The service was a standout: friendly, attentive, and welcoming. My personal favorites were the hamburger, which was perfectly executed, and the bread pudding, a comforting treat that hit all the right notes. Every dish we tried was great, but those two stole the show for me. If I could, I’d rate N17 The Lane a 4.5 out of 5, but since half-points aren’t an option, I’m happily rounding up to a 5. The exceptional service and warm atmosphere tipped the scales. It’s a cute, charming place that’s well worth a visit! !

Sports bar kinda experience, but not being as crowded. Just right for me as I could enjoy quieter dinner and didn't need to shout when talking LOL. The place was pretty busy every Friday night so reservation might work best when you're coming in bigger group. Waiting time was relatively lengthy though to get served and having all orders ready. I did appreciate the busy attendant who tried his best to still make us having great experience! I had their Char Siu Banh Mi, which surprisingly tasted beyond my expectations. Very well seasoned, juicy meat, and I loved the spicy kick from the jalapeño. The size was pretty filling as well for the price! My friends and I got the Skillet Cookie for dessert, closing our dinner flawlessly as it's freshly baked so still impeccably warm and gooey. Served a la mode, Oohhh. DA BOMB!

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!
Not only is the food mediocre and overpriced, but I was also harassed by a worker here who became verbally aggressive. This isn’t just my experience, filter the 1-star reviews on Yelp and Google and you’ll see a pattern of other customers reporting poor treatment as well. Don’t be fooled, save your money and go somewhere else.

I arrived at this restaurant at 9:54pm on Wednesday, August 26th, 2025, well before their posted closing time of 10:30pm. I ordered a burger and fries for takeaway. My food was ready at 10:20pm, and when I went to pay, I left a $2 tip (something I normally don’t even do for to-go orders). As I walked away, the male waiter sarcastically said, “Really dude?” referring to the tip.

When I asked what the issue was, he complained that I “only tipped $2” and claimed he had kept the kitchen open for me. I reminded him that I placed my order before 10pm and that the restaurant closes at 10:30pm for a reason. His response was hostile, he raised his voice, told me I was “lucky to even get a burger tonight” and began calling me names. At that point, I walked away rather than escalate further.

This type of unprofessional and aggressive behavior is unacceptable in any business, especially one serving the public. Based on my experience and other reviews online, this seems to be a recurring issue at this establishment. If this individual is the owner, I can’t imagine this place staying in business for long.

Bottom line: Food is mediocre, staff is rude and hostile, and you risk being mistreated. Spend your money elsewhere, you’ll thank...

Hello,

I am writing to mention how disappointed I was by my experience at N17 on Saturday morning.

I came to watch the soccer game around 1145am and as I got settled the welcoming was very cold. I placed my order for a Burrito at 1155pm. I understand that you don't serve breakfast after a certain time (12pm I presume). In that case why was I able to place the order or why did anyone notify me accordingly? I ended up waiting 45 minutes until someone told me that my order was going to be cancelled although it said that my order was ready on the app at 1236pm... I asked for a refund and saw today that the charge went through regardless... I would like this item refunded ASAP/

After this, I ended placing an order for a burger and I had to wait ANOTHER HOUR for the food to come. The burger tasted good although the fries were cold. When my order was served no apologies were given. The server had an attitude the whole time I was there and getting her attention was difficult. I understand there were maybe technical problems and understaffing, but giving attitude is never a good thing especially when I had been waiting to eat something for more than an hour and a half and that the game almost ended...

I understand you may not give a refund for both items but If it was my establishment I would consider doing the right thing because of the poor service received. I am expecting at least a refund on the burrito. I am very frustrated with this experience and do not plan on...

Last night was the first time eating at this establishment. It was a bit of a rough go at first because, the reservation was screwed up so there was bit of wait for seating (we had 11 in our party) and there was a wait for the food at the table I was at. I am giving 5 stars because, only being open for a month, owners and staff tried hard and was very apologetic for the mishap. The food was good. A couple of minor things that I think could be done to enhance the experience even more: When they start making money do something about the chairs. Uncomfortable to me anyway. Also ditch the skinny French fries. They come out hot from the fryer but when they get to the table they are already cool to almost cold because they are so thin. One other thing, all restaurants that I have been to in 65 years, when they know it is your birthday, you get a little something on the house like a piece of cake with ice cream with a candle, or pie or whatever sweet treat. If you are going to do the same don't charge or don't do it at all. A lot of times, not all there will be a party of 5 or more to celebrate a birthday. The cost of that treat is paid for by the amount of food and possible drinks ordered. Besides it is good publicity. The restaurant is in it's growing pains. Having a family background of over 100 years in the restaurant business, by year three you'll know. They get all stars all the way around for trying their best. Kudos to the...
