Handel’s Homemade Ice Cream — Restaurant in Cumming

Dear Andy, thank you for having outstanding customer service. Both times that me and my coworkers have come in while you were working you made sure we had a great experience.

Unfortunately, I cannot say the same thing for your coworkers. One of them did not use gloves while he sliced bananas for my hurricane and placed each slice in it with his bare hands (disgusting). To say the least...my jaw was on the floor as I watched this unsanitary practice in food service industry. Thank you for stepping in and taking charge of that situation. The other coworker we came in and greeted her and she failed to acknowledge us, I then said hi to her again and she walked away to the back. I understand they are young, but they can use some training on how to conduct themselves in a customer friendly establishment. Also, as Andy made our order at least 5 people came in, a family of 3 was in line behind us and not one them jumped in to help. *Andy gets a 5 STAR, but the coworkers were a total thumbs down and get a 1 STARS.

I've been a loyal customer for a while now, and I absolutely adore your sugar cones! However, there's one thing that consistently detracts from the experience is the paper liner stubbornly STICKS TO THE CONE! making it a messy and frustrating experience. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE find a solution to this! It's a small detail that makes a big difference. I hope you'll consider exploring solutions to this issue.

While the ice cream is fantastic, the interior of the store could use a bit of a refresh. It currently feels a bit bland. Additionally, I'd love to see some indoor seating added. On windy or rainy days, the outdoor seating isn't ideal, and having an indoor option would create a more welcoming space for families to enjoy their treats together.

This ice cream doesn’t melt easily, which means it’s very creamy and thick. I love the texture, quality, and taste. The pistachio flavor had a good amount of nuts, and it tasted really good. I think this is a great place for ice cream at such a good price.

I also love the little cherry in the brand name, and the store itself is really big with a really good vibe. They have a wide variety of flavors to choose from, which makes it even better. Plus, there’s a big parking area, so finding a spot isn’t an issue.

The only downside was the long wait since there were only two people working—one at the counter and one serving. However, I think the wait was worth it because the ice cream was truly delicious.
