I have visited this location a couple times in the past and had no issues. I am not sure what happened this last time but it was not good. I visited with my friend and his family. We were seated relatively quickly and everything was going well. Our waitress, right off the bat, was not very friendly with my friend’s father. His family does not speak English (or at least not very well) so they definitely had a bit of an accent. He was trying to order and she just looked pissed off and not understanding at all. I ended up telling her what he was trying to say but she just, very rudely, moved on to the next order. English is my first language, I don’t have an accent, I was raised in America and so I knew she could understand me. Which is why the next part of the story becomes problematic.
We order our food and again the same problems occur. She has difficulties understanding his family’s order but she is not kind at all. She is huffing and rolling her eyes. When she brings items to our table (more rolls, drink refill) she says nothing, slammed the items down and walked off without a word. When we asked for sauce for our steak she took forever to bring it out and when she did, you could tell she was mad she had to do her job. Why do I bring all of this up? Well, because the table immediately behind and across from us also had her as a waitress. And she visited both of those tables at least double the amount she ever checked on us. I’m not just talking about bringing food- I had to fight to get a drink refill, get us more bread, to-go boxes. Hell, I even had trouble getting our check, which usually restaurants have no problem giving you. And the thing was…I could see her attitude change. She was friendly, smiling, attentive to these other tables. The food ended up being decent, but the service was absolutely horrendous.
I try to be as unbiased and look on the good side of people, but I was really having trouble with this. It was clear she was favoring her other tables and not only avoiding us, but being rude and giving bad service to us. I don’t want to say it’s because my friend, his family and I were a minority, but it sure felt that way. It will definitely make me think twice about visiting this location.
UPDATE: I reached out after they left a comment on my review. Their online forum was very quick and I believe it was the next day when I got a response. However, iIt took a bit of back and forth trying to find a time that worked best (I had called two days in a row and the manager wasn't in). I finally called back the next week and was placed on a 10 minute hold. It was not looking good. I decided I would try to reach them once more before giving up. I called back and immediately got the manager, who said that nobody had notified them that they had a call on hold. I had emailed with both Leissy and Amanda but it ended up being Leissy (service manager) who I spoke with that day. She was very apologetic and vowed to speak with her staff for proper training. She was taken aback by my experiences and promised that next time would be better. I was offered a voucher to come in again and ask specifically for her. They handled the situation very appropriately but most importantly I wanted to make sure nobody else had to go through this. Kudos to Texas Roadhouse for trying to...
Read moreAlright so first off imma say we went at 9:00 and it was dead. We got to our table and our waitress asked for drinks. We told her our drinks and she got one of our drinks wrong. Our waitress came back and took our order and we asked for bread. She completely forgot about our bread and then we ended up getting our food without the bread. Right when we got our food we immediately asked for rolls, because we love them. Still no bread to be found. We asked a random lady cleaning for bread and she immediately got them for us. I ordered a Medium Rare steak and it came out raw, and the waitress said “would you like it more medium?” Keep it mind the steak was RAW. Girl the steak wasn’t even rare. It was a white steak and it was soft like jello. I ordered Medium Rare. I waited 10 minutes for it and it was medium, but oh well. We asked for straws because our waitress forgot and she came back 15 mins later. After eating our bread we wanted more so we asked our waitress and she didn’t come back. We asked another random person and they gave us the worst bread ever. It was so hard and cold. Also there were like 5 workers sitting down behind us on their phones and two of them were on a phone call yelling. There were plenty of other spots they could’ve went to and they were right behind us. Every time we asked our waitress for something she took 20 minutes for each item. Straws were 20 mins, refills took 20 mins. We were also told we could pay on the tablet and she left and we weren’t able to pay on that tablet. We were so annoyed because we wanted to leave so bad. I asked for help on why we couldn’t pay and the other worker said “this isn’t even your table’s device” our waitress comes back and says I can just take Your card. Read moreEek! I hate leaving bad reviews. I really do. But wow. I've been here a few times and have never had an experience like this. First we come in and no one is at the host stand. Which is fine- that's not out of the ordinary. What is out of the ordinary was the hostess sitting down on the bench while I'm assuming a busser was laying down on said bench next to her. Uhhh okay, a bit unprofessional! Said busser gets up to seat as for whatever reason, and the table he brings us to was completely dirty. I'm talking food all over the floor, a little in the booth and on the tabletop. I'll insert a photo. (The photo I inserted was taken AFTER the booster seat was removed and the table top was wiped down. Before it looked like some family had just eaten at it). I was baffled. I'm normally not one to care much. I've worked in restaurants and I know sometimes stuff happens. But that is 10000% unacceptable. So- my friend and I moved tables. The waitress comes by to greet us and seemed upset to even have a job here to be honest. She wasn't horrible maybe just tired? I'll give her the benefit of the doubt here. My friend and I finish our basket of bread and weren't offered more. Which isn't a huge deal but again, isn't that sort of the point?
