Mexpozole Restaurant — Restaurant in Cypress

Let me start by saying, we have been to Mexpozole a few times to pick up pozole & have never had an issue, but we’ve never dined in until today. To our surprise, they don’t bring you chips & salsa. The waitresses do give off the vibe that if you’re a man sweet talking them & drinking beer; you’ll get those chips & salsa but that was the least of our worries by the time we left. One lady took our order, another lady brought it to us and then a third one came by to pick it up…Before the 3rd waitress came by, I waved them down to come to our table because when I was finishing my quesabirria tacos, I found a fly drowning in the grease. I did not see it fall out of the taco but I also didn’t see it sitting on my plate so, it most likely slipped out of the taco while I was eating. My family & I were so disgusted, we all stopped eating & drinking immediately. My daughter & husband had food they were planning on taking home, but there was no way we were bringing anything home from this place. I told the waitress and she went to the back to speak to someone (maybe manager), then she came back & told us we wouldn’t be charged for my plate; the one with the fly. They ended up not charging us for the other food we left, because they were basically full plates that were barely touched but we will NOT be returning to this restaurant. Not only the fly but the waitresses clean the tables & sweep with no gloves, go to the back & grab plates of food to bring out without washing their hands. I suggest you stay away...

1 star because of this morning service. 5 stars for the other times I have visited.

The food is good, today it was not. Make sure to have the waitress write down exactly what you ask for.

This morning, I ordered a barbacoa burrito, with the impression the sides were rice and beans. When I picked up the order, all I said was "I didnt know all the side dish was going to be in the burrito". The waitress/cashier responded loudly and ill-mannered "I said it comes with everything in it, you didn't hear me?"

I shouldn't have "pre-paid" $50+ for 2 (32 oz) menudos & 2 Barbacoa burritos.

I got home to find I got burritos with tons of cheese, 2 salad size pieces of tomatoes, and yellow lettuce - no rice & a boil beans in 2 oz container. I don't eat pork, there was fat pieces of bacon in the beans and 1/2 spilled menudos in the bag.

Our guest were in disbelief that a true mexican restaurant serves thier people like this. I told them I never seen that waitress (9-10 am, mon) because usually the waitress know what they are doing.

I've never been treated like a dog or left unhappy until today. Yes, I left disappointed & I hate asking for refunds or arguing over food.

I WILL NOT ORDER FROM HERE AGAIN! I AM PREGNANT AND RECEIVED SOME OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN MY LIFE.TODAY AROUND 9AM I ORDERED FOOD VIA UBER EATS AND SPECIFICALLY ASKED FOR CORN TORTILLA, AS I AM ALLERGIC TO FLOUR TORTILLA. I RECEIVED ALL 4 TORTILLAS ON FLOUR NOT CORN! AFTER CALLING THE RESTAURANT THE EMPLOYEE WAS VERY RUDE, WOULD NOT CONTACT UBER, OFFERED TO GIVE ME A FREE DRINK IF I SPENT MORE MONEY TO REORDER AND CALLED ME BACK TO TELL ME I WAS WRONG AND IT WAS MY ISSUE. AFTER FURTHER EXPLAINANTION IT WAS INDEED THE RESTAURANTS FAULT AND SHE HAD TO APOLOGIZE. I COULD NOT GET UBER TO JUST REPLACE MY ORDER SO I CALLED THE RESTAURANT BACK AND THE LADY ON THE PHONE WAS AGAIN INCREDIBLY RUDE UPON ANSWERING THE PHONE. SHE WOULDN'T GIVE ME HER NAME, ACTED LIKE SHE DIDN'T HEAR ME ASKING, SAID THE MANAGER WOULD BE IN TOMORROW AND THAT THIS WASNT HER PROBLEM. I AM IN AWE OF HOW POOR THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS. AS PREVIOUSLY STATED I AM PREGNANT AND I NOW HAVE TO FIND ANOTHER MEAL TO EAT AND I AM EXTREMELY HUNGRY. CUSTOMERS SHOULD BE TREATED BETTER THAN THIS.
