I have had several manicures and pedicures here. The price was always more, no matter what I had done. I'm talking $15 - $20 more than expected. I was paying $110+ for a manicure with shellac and a pedicure. This time I asked for a regular manicure and pedicure. They didn't seem to like that very much. The manager told me, as I was paying that I could no longer get pedicures there because the nail tech didn't like using the nitrile gloves I provided. I'm allergic to latex. I offered to bring a brand new box of vinyl gloves. The manager stated they would only use latex gloves. I said that this was never an issue before and I asked, "Why do you have that notice on the wall that states, "Let the nail technician know if you have any allergies." She said that was for people with diabetes. I told her that diabetes is a disease not an allergy. It didn't make sense at all. I heard two other clients question the charges for what they had done. They weren't happy. I always call and schedule my appointments in advance. I would be started late, and I didn't complain. This time I was started an hour past my appointment time. In case you're wondering, I have very pretty hands and feet. The manager and the nail technicians are dishonest, overcharge, and are unprofessional. Lastly, the male receptionist there gave...
Read moreI am beyond upset with this salon. DO NOT get your eyebrows done here. The lady who primarily does them (not sure her name , older lady with bangs) waxed too thin and over plucked ruining 3 months of letting them grow out. When I expressed that they were too thin in the room she told me no they were not which is frankly not her choice to make. At the checkout counter I said I was not happy at all and they were too thin once again she said no! She didn’t even remotely acknowledge that I was upset. I ask to speak to a manager and she said something to the woman doing nails next to her (assumed manager on duty ) who saw this happen and didn’t even LOOK IN MY DIRECTION. Eyebrow lady said to sit down (I guess to speak to her).
Obviously I wasn’t being listened to, so I paid and walked out beyond upset. It wasn’t my first time here but it was definitely last. I have never felt the NEED to review a salon but when you leave unheard, unsatisfied AND on the brink of tears you find the time. I’d hate for someone else to have to go through this.
If you care about your eyebrows or being in a place where at MINIMUM the manager will take two seconds to look at you, DONT waste time or money...
Read moreI recently visited a nail salon and noticed that the charges were inconsistent. This was due to one rude lady named Hannah adding petty charges and overcharging African-American customers. I found her to be rude and unkind. I called the salon the day before to inquire about pricing and was quoted a certain amount, but when I arrived, I was charged a different price. Hannah explained that the prices sometimes differ when quoted over the phone.
Although the other staff members were nice and provided good service, I am only giving the salon one star because Lynn did a fabulous job on my nails, earning her five stars. Unfortunately, I will NEVER return to this salon due to Hannah's mean actions. Lynn and the other ladies are too kind to work with someone who is so mean-spirited.
It is important to note that Hannah manages the Google reviews, so she may deny any wrongdoing. She added an extra charge for the length of my nails after I refused to pay an extra charge for the shaping of my nails. Keep in mind I was only getting a refill therefore my nails were already coffin-shaped. If you want to avoid being overcharged, I recommend...
