My husband and I came in on Wed. Sept.27th at 6pm . We ended up sitting at the bar and both ordering the never ending pasta bowl . The soup came to us splattered all over the bowl , horrible presentation but we still ate it but note to the bartender : presentation is everything , wipe the plate before serving it to customers . We also ordered the Green Apple Moscato which tasted really good but my only quarrel with the drink was that the bartender served us the glasses holding it with her fingers inside the cup . GROSS! The amount of bacteria that entered the cup by holding it from the top rim instead of holding the glasses by the bottom , note to bartender : always hold wine glasses from the bottom when serving them to customers . Noodles for the spaghetti came out super undercooked , which was shocking to my husband and I , manager came by and said they would be bringing a fresh bowl of spaghetti with 3 meatballs out and what came out was a small bowl with one meatball from the bartender . The manager never came back out with a fresh bowl or came to check on us to make sure the food was ok , note to manager : always strive to make it right with customers , follow up with them , make them feel valuable . We live 5 minutes away , and this last experience did not leave such a good impression . Experience and comfort ability is everything . Will we personally come back or order through uber eats ? Not anytime soon to this location and we LOVE Olive Garden . We will check back next year to see if any improvements have been made . Until then , we will just make the drive to the Willowbrook location because they have always went over and beyond in their service to my family and I . Another side note : for the never ending pasta bowl , please tell customers that any sides they get like broccoli will be charged $3 per bowl for the never ending pasta bowl . This has never happened to me and it...
Read moreFirst time going to this location. On a late weekday evening, called in for gnocchi soup at least 20 minutes in advance. Order prep time around 20 minutes or less. Within a minute or so of approaching the to-go counter it became bothersome & apparent that a non-masked, off-duty-cop-on-side hustle/ guard duty was within close proximity, perched on a stool near the to-go counter, was unapologetically, practically coughing his lungs up. Just great for having to stand there several foot-tapping minutes more than anticipated, enduring the incessant, obnoxiously loud coughing. Glanced around the restaurant area and noticed a sprinkle of left-over diners seated in areas a few feet away chomping on breadsticks, slurping pasta, guzzling drinks, etc- apparently oblivious to this out-of-control coughing. Maybe they didn’t hear or were not bothered by all the hacking. Bad look in a restaurant. Started to skip on out of there but guess my cravings won over. Hadn’t had OG in like a year.
When it came time to pay, all seemed well as I politely handed the to-go lady my plastic. But instead of handing my cc back in kind, she semi-slapped it on the counter. That drives me nuttier than a squirrel's winter stash when don't reciprocate and do that. As the Full House twins used to declare, “How rude!” Then she never offered an explanation as to why the wait, nor so much as a courtesy soda. It was just like, going to the back, brb and disappearing past the swinging doors. Well, she didn’t come right back, obviously. A little disappointed about the gnocchi soup: a bit on the watery side and sparse, not only lacking the extra gnocchi as requested, but even the chicken was minimal. And the breadsticks seemed a bit on the stiff side.
Well aware that it can simply be a matter of calling in for someone to offer to make it right and surely it can happen anywhere but have had better...
Read moreMy family and I will never visit this Olive Garden again. The service is some of the worst I have ever experienced. A month ago we visited this restaurant and our server proceeded to take other orders before ever putting in our order. He used the Ziosk to put in our appetizers and we received our appetizers and still had no drinks, silverware, plates and breadsticks for the dipping sauce. A manager had to step in. The service continued to go down hill that evening. The manager was very apologetic and comped some of our meal and even gave us a gift card. He asked that we give them another try and we agreed to come again.
Today we decided to visit again. Again the worst service. Our waitress could not seem to remember things we asked for. Took a glass to give a refill and didn’t return until she was coming back for something else. We had to remind her again. Once we started reaching the end of our meal she kept peeking around the corner to see how things were going, but didn’t ever return to the table. I needed a box for my food and the Ziosk would not allow us to pay. As she passed right by our table she completely ignored us when we tried to get her attention. We gave up and requested the box from another waiter who quickly assisted and went straight to the front of the restaurant to locate the manager. This was not the same manager we had met before. Once the manager arrived she was only concerned with helping us pay for our meal. Never apologized for the service or tried to make amends. She took our credit card and sent a waitress to return back with our receipt. Did not even have the decency to show her face again. I would love for the opportunity to speak to the general manager for this location. I would recommend some extra time spent on customer service training from the managers down to the...
