Worst meal that we have had in a long time.
We spent too long shopping and came out of the mall HUNGRY, so me made a bad decision and stopped at Chile’s.
The place had a decent crowd so we thought this would be a good sign. We were seated at the very first table, near the hostess stand and immediately in the flow. The table was sticky wet as it had just been cleaned, although it appeared to have been cleaned with hand sanitizer?
We moved ourselves because the hostess had left us for dead, again, despite being right next to the stand and literally in the way as they sat other patrons. The other booth was fine.
As we waited for now ten minutes, another couple was sat at our previous booth and were being waited on, so I was waving my hands attempting to draw anyone’s attention. Finally the manager came over and assured us that someone would take our order soon and he would bring us waters.
The waitress seemed incapable of keeping her mask above her nose - I don’t think she was trying - but when she did, it meant that she was constantly touching it... she was nice and trying to make to hustle and earn a living.
We ordered the two meals for $25 deal as my wife and son were both going to have ribs. I ordered the pick three for the bacon burger. When I chose my side, I thought why not have chips and guac for $1.50 more. Well the waitress upsized us WITHOUT ASKING and told us she accidentally put the order in for a large. (Of course I thought, her accident, that I wouldn’t be charged... and I was wrong!)
The guacamole was terrible - I really only got it to compare with Chipotle where my son works, as an experiment. It was terrible and we ate almost none of it.
My burger was good, albeit well over cooked (she never asked how I wanted it, so I guess I got well, over fried so much as it was crisp on the outside! But otherwise tasty - it’s a burger.
My sone hated his ribs. My wife liked hers, except for the ridiculous corn cob that she received which was mushy and coated with fats: cheese, butter and some sort of white sauce?
And then the bill came and instead of being $25 + $10 + $1.50 - it was over $50 as we were over charged for the chips and guac, and additional changes for side salads (ice berg lettuce coated in cheese).
Then to add insult to injury the min tip in the pop up menu is 18% - I tipped the young lady begrudgingly- maybe she can buy a mask that fits.

Read moreI am leaving a 1 star review solely based on food quality. 4 of us ordered chicken and we all agreed something was wrong with it. Extremely “mushy/rubbery” almost like it wasnt cooked entirely. I am not one to complain about food and I usually will just eat whatever but this, I could not eat. Then one of the managers (Dimitri) had an attitude saying there was nothing wrong with the chicken and did not want to offer any type of compensation. Again I dont try to get free stuff. We literally could not eat our meals. After we got our bill our very kind Waitress came out and I just asked about a possible discount. She instantly started crying because of how this Dimitri manager guy acts and treats people. We felt terrible. Her service was perfectly fine and she did a great job. The only issue we had was with the Chicken we ordered. Fortunately enough there was another manager on duty that night and she was extremely helpful. Hopefully this was just a one time deal. A table across from us had the same issue with their chicken as well. All of the staff other than Dimitri was great. But Dimitri in a manager position should care more about the employees he has under him and the customers he is helping to serve. Instead he has an awful attitude and must be bad enough to have his serving staff afraid of him. What a poor example this man is to what good management should be. Hopefully something gets done about his poor...
Read moreFrom what I'm seeing in other recent reviews, I am not alone in saying I had a miserable experience here, for starters, the place was at 20% capacity and everything took forever to get out. Secondly it easily took 30 mins to get my beer after I had to change what I got because apparently they changed lines, fine, whatever, but if I have an issue you'd think that they would quickly run over and grab it but no, 15 mins to get that to me AFTER the mess up. Food was average at best , more appropriately below average. Like I said it wasn't busy and my food want even that hot. Chicken was ok, my wife got the ribs and couldn't eat half of them because they were all fat and gross. My quesadillas were just greasy tortillas that weren't even halfway to Being toasted . Waiter was friendly but barely attentive, never even cleared out app plate.(especially considering the 30 minute beer time). And the cherry on top , the stupid terminal they make you pay through wouldn't let us leave less than 18% tip on this whole crummy experience. And wouldn't let me complete a survey in restaurant, so here I am in Google , tearing into them publicly which isn't my normal response. We have been customers for YEARS and likely won't be back , we were excited to come out today, and my only wish is that the crew that worked today lower my casket into the earth at my funeral so that they could let me down...
