Misdiagnosis of issues cost me about $5,000 beyond actual repair needs (total cost $10,000 on an 8,000 mile car). Owner/manager Richard refused to offer anything to help me out, in fact he never returned phone calls or emails. Initially told me I would have my car "Latest by end of February" (He said this in December) and I got my car back end of April after months of not hearing back from anyone.
Staff is disorganized and kept avoiding me, going MIA for literally months. I ended up calling Lotus directly, and then (and only then!) did Richard give me a call back telling me to "get a lawyer" if I disagreed with how they operated. I was pretty shocked since I had been extremely patient and polite the entire time and simply wanted to speak to someone about giving me a break on labor costs due to the several issues I was having.
The guy went 0 to 100 and accused me of 'tarnishing their reputation' as if I cared at all about their reputation. I just wanted my car back. I thought these guys were Lotus experts but they've made several mistakes and the trunk STILL doesn't open correctly despite them "fixing it" 3 times. I ended up getting it fixed permanently by an outside mechanic that had zero lotus experience. He also mentioned that whoever had been under the hood before did not do a good job putting the car back together. It's obvious they were in a rush.
In conclusion, don't buy a Lotus until they get better...
Read moreDO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP!!!!? My lotus sat there for months waiting for pretty basic work to be done that required no parts to be ordered. After it was there for 2 months we had to start calling asking when our car will be ready. They finally called and said the car was done we went to pick it up and literally NOTHING was done.
Then they had the nerve to tell us to our face that they were doing us a FAVOR by working on our car!!!!

Garin did a great job on the car and provided frequent updates during the service and followup and provided support after the car was picked up.
