I was playing basketball with my family and out of nowhere some white male came up to me, aggravated, telling me I don't belong there (mind you I had my baby in the stroller next to me) and started attacking me, threw his basketball at me and pushed me. He grabbed my basketball and kicked it far (almost hitting my babys stroller) he started saying some slander and slurs saying "oh the blood of Christ this and that" and he stared dead at me as I walked away. Had to call the cops to get him off my back. This playground needs constant surveillance because he put me and my family in danger (Including the kids at the park) he wored a black jacket, grey shorts, white tennis shoes, had a sweatband, he is white, blue-grey eyes (one eye looks straight and the other was aiming towards his nose) no facial hair, about 5'11" Plus! Read moreThis park is terrifying. I took my niece at around 2 pm, with the intent of being there for at least an hour, but it is straight-up ghetto. There was a homeless person sleeping on a table (not even sure if he was alive). And at some point, a guy who looked like he was high on something stumbled by and drank from the water fountain and left. I had my guard up as a man, so I wanted to see if my niece was comfortable. Read moreThis is a nice neighborhood park. It's on a bus route so very easily accessible via DART. There's a large open area for Frisbee playing and running. There's a playground with swing sets and the works. I didn't see any liter and the trash cans were well maintained. The area is nice.
