Parked to get tacos next door because parking is limited. An employee or manager was upset and instead of asking me (a lady) to move my car, he stuck a Warning No Parking sticker on my window and proceeded to yell at me about where to park. I asked for his name and a photo and he asked me to leave, so I did.

He’s obviously upset because no one was in his establishment….. Even he himself was bringing in food for lunch from an outside restaurant… yikes.

I wouldn’t eat here because the guy was a real jerk that could have calmly asked me to move my car, but didn’t. He pitched a fit like a 7 year old child.

No wonder your business is failing sir.

*You never politely asked me to move my car, had you, I would have. Just like I did after you screamed at me in the parking lot after slamming a sticker on my window while I was sitting inside of the car. I also did not yell or speak to the one employee (a woman with red ish hair) you were standing next to. I asked you for your name and a photo for my review, because you sir were the one that screamed at me. You asked me to leave and I did.

We sat in the spot beside your to go parking and ate our taco joint for half an hour. You did not have a single person enter your establishment to pick up an order or to eat inside.

Do not try to save your behavior today by inviting me to your bbq. We used to eat at this location and the one off 635 every week for lunch to support local businesses. After today, I will no longer waste my money at your establishment. And I will encourage everyone else to...

So I am a serious smoked meat foodie. I have eaten and reviewed smokehouses, chophouses, bbq trucks ans the like in about 38 states. Dallas is home but I was the meat quality here was not up to par. I ordered a half slap of ribs which apparently was only 5 ribs normally a half slab gets you 6-8 ribs. The rib meat was a solid B+ cool and flavor. Close to fill off the bone but not quite still reasonably tender and flavorful. A bit on the lean side not a lot of meat on them but every cut comes out different so no harm no foul. Turkey got half a pound it was dry fair flavor but too dry and the smoke seep wasn’t very far into the meat. B-. Please note It was Sunday afternoon could have been meat from day before carry over and such getting close To its end. Brisket sliced I ordered lean and fatty both. Again the lean seemed well cooked and too dry flavor was fine but I felt it had been warmed after cooking too long piece broke off in long slivers like dry cracking meat. Deep brown which makes me feel it was just from a smoke not that day maybe Fridays. The fatty was still very tender and juicy and very fatty mix great for chopped beef or further cooking. I’ll be honest I’d give them another try before passing final judgement. I am just gonna make sure it’s a freshly smoked meat day and then I will let...

I’ve been to Barrel & Bones twice, both times the barbecue was a disappointment. The first time, I chalked the “leather-ish” barbecue up as fluke since I was there at lunch time and it wasn’t very busy. So, hoping for the best, I tried it again.

This time I went for dinner and had a combo plate with brisket, burnt ends, and smoked buffalo cauliflower for a side. When ordering, the server asked if I wanted the brisket “moist”, I said please.

The “moist” brisket was dry and it was difficult to chew the edges. The flavor was good, just took a lot of work to get down. The burnt ends almost the same, they were actually very dry all the way through. It seemed as if a good bbq was initially made, then it was kept in a warmer for to long and dried out. I was dining with a friend that had the same experience with the burnt ends.

The smoked buffalo cauliflower side was good, as was the service. The restaurant was clean and we could easily carry a conversation because the noise level was low, it wasn’t very busy. I noticed there was a tent on the table regarding karaoke from 10 pm to 1 am and a pool table in the back. Perhaps this is a late night place, or more of a bar, and I tried it at the wrong...

The service was extremely slow - with only a few people inside and one other group outside with us. We waited over 45 minutes after ordering and when the food came it was cold, not good and was not as we had ordered. But we didn't send it back because it would have taken 30+ minutes. Our waiter told us there were too many take out orders which slowed us down. Rule #1, take care of the people in the restaurant! The turkey "sandwich" that we got only had food on one side - it was essentially all bread. The two glasses of wine that we ordered may have been 4 oz each, not even close to a normal glass nor did they care that we had waited so long and try to make it better! I also just noticed that we paid an extra $2.22 to cover the credit card that we used - which is absolutely obnoxious. 3 drinks, a sandwich, and a meat plate with a tip was $100. If it had been $25 maybe I wouldn't be so upset, but everything was bad about this experience.
