I DON'T KNOW HOW MY PEOPLE CAN HAVE SOME HORRIBLE TASTE. THOUGHT WE ALL LIKE SEASON. THIS PLACE HAS THE MOST BLAND FOOD I HAVE EVER TASTED. YOU CAN BUY BATTER IN A BAG IT EVEN HAS SEASONING. JUST SPENT ALMOST $60 ON GARBAGE. COME TO HOUSTON AND YALL CAN TASTE SOME REAL SEAFOOD. OMG EVEN THE FRIES NASTY. ONLY 2 GOOD THINGS THE LEMONADE AND HUSH PUPPIES. OH AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST THE GUMBO!! THAT WAS SO GOD AWFUL. IT WAS LIKE NASTY GROSS WATER. NO THICKNESS AT ALL. BYPASS THIS PLACE IF YOU SMART. Honestly, this food has little to no flavor. It definitely doesn't have the best taste. But this place is one of my go to places. It's a S. Dallas standard.

What keeps me going back: -the food is ALWAYS hot and fresh - I mean EVERY SINGLE TIME -the service is standard-no muss, no fuss, no trouble-you have to wait for your order, but it's not a crazy wait time-the ppl are nice-cash only -the oysters and shrimp are perfectly fried-I just have to get them home and jazz up the flavor a bit -THE HUSH PUPPIES - just get the hush puppies already-you'll be...

After all the years this location has been in South Dallas, I’ve gotten their gumbo. It has been a while since my last visit and it has a tremendous change in the ingredients. I was given some spoiled azz GUMBO.. I know that okra has a different texture but it does not bubble when warming up. This had to be sitting out overnight and rewarmed. The reason I didn’t take it back, because the $5 wasn’t worth the drive when you live across town..whatever happened to your old recipe, you might want to use it, and trash or refrigerate any leftovers...
