Didn’t tip our waiter, but we DID tip the lady bussing tables
My sister and I went here for my birthday dinner. I made a reservation for 7:30 on 11/16 and had a short burgundy bob, and my sister had the tan coat with shoulder length hair. I got sat at this tiny 2 person table and waited a long time before the waiter to finally show up, a heavy set white man who seemed friendly enough but couldn’t care less if we lived or died.
Yes, the place was busy, it was a Saturday night, but what are you doing disappearing from the floor for over 10 mins! Yes we timed it.
Things started off great when the apps and my drink showed up. The tots were BANGIN!, the tuna crispy rice thing was just ok (would have been better if they replaced the tuna with cooked/warm salmon and the friend rice was crispier and hot), But DO NOT ORDER THE $16 DUCK WINGS!! Although it was deliciously marinated, there was absolutely ZERO meat on the bones. Just replace the duck with some actual chicken! 🙄 complete waste of money. Drink was weak but tasty. While eating waiter came by with one of his 2 lines of the night “is everything ok?” We said yes and he rushed off.
Busters cleared the table and we waited…and waited…finally waiter comes back with “did you need anything else” my sister asked for 2 straws (that never came) and we ordered the Garlic noodles. The noodles were Dropped off after a while and the person ran off. We thought he went to get us some utensils since it was cleared with our last plates of apps so we sat there waiting…and waiting…another 10 mins goes by and we realize that no one’s coming so we waved down a bussing lady, carrying plates mind you, and asked HER to get some straws and plates and utensils. She got everything in a split second! Waiter still MIA. After she took care of us and we started eating again, the waiter comes back with “is everything all set?” YES! Because someone else was already taking care of us! 🙄
He was either MIA, helping the larger parties, or flat out not Making eye contact with our table. Head was down over his POS machine. He was NOT malicious or rude just definitely didn’t care about ANTICIPATING OUR NEEDS. (Straws, new set of utensils, napkins, looking to make recommendations, or getting to know his customers and how to make this celebration special, etc) just came over AFTER someone else had done the work to gaslight us into thinking that was “service” while for the most part were were waiting for the things we needed. After we ate the noodles, more and more waiting, I would have gotten another drink but at that point we were really annoyed. I paid on their handheld machine and left NO TIP idgad. He was quick to notice that though! As soon as I gave him back his machine he came back a split second later with “was everything ok here?” Oh so now you want our attention?😒 I will not be intimidated into give a tip for poor service, my sister said the experience wasn’t great. But that bus lady got a nice cash tip from us for her speedy responses.
Will I be back? Yes, the food looks bangin and I’d like to try some more and the atmosphere was great! but I think I’ll just eat at the...

Stopped in for a visit after a long (and much-needed) break… and wow—they’ve completely revamped their food menu! The food is seriously good. Like, so good that you’ll keep eating even after you’re full kind of good.
They do offer Athletic non-alcoholic beer , though it’s priced the same as a regular one, which feels a little off.
I ordered the fried chicken and the Korean corn and cheese. The chicken was coated in a light, sweet chili glaze that was packed with flavor—definitely something I’d order again.
The corn and cheese dish is on the richer side, with way more cheese than corn. When you scoop it up, you mostly get the thick, creamy cheese mix, and the bold, sharp cheese flavor really takes over your palate. It’s tasty, but a bit unbalanced—I wish the sweetness of the corn came through more. Not sure how they could fix it, but a better balance would make it perfect. And let’s talk about the wonton chips—perfectly crispy with just the right crunch.
Another highlight: the staff. They genuinely seemed happy to be there, and I even overheard one employee talking about how grateful they were to the company for helping them grow their bartending skills. Love hearing that kind of energy in a place.
Despite a few past hiccups, I can confidently say this is somewhere I’d love to return to.

I've been a customer since this placed has opened. I happen to live in the neighborhood and truly believe in supporting the businesses around me.
Recently, during a visit with a group, I was surprised when four staff members started pushing me out without any clear explanation.
Once outside I was told I was disrespectful but they couldn't provide me with any details that would support their accusations. Im still bemused as no one can explain what I did wrong. To deescalate the situation I said bye and wished them the best. No reason to spoil a good night or waste energy arguing with someone who was misguided or failed to find out the truth of the situation.
Over the past few months, the atmosphere has changed. The once-friendly staff has been replaced by a younger generation. The friendly faces you once saw are all gone. The high turnover is a huge indicator that dissatisfaction with the work environment, management problems, or poor job satisfaction.
As a local who would frequent this establishment several times a week, I no longer trust them as a place to send friends or family. It's not just being manhandled out of the building but the increasing realization that I cannot support a company that not only treats guest poorly but also has a history of mistreatment of employees.
I really wish them the best. I miss what they once were. Luckily the neighborhood has some awesome bars with better options who treat everyone...

We previously came to Casablanca just for the bar and had a 10/10 experience, with awesome service/atmosphere/incredible quality drinks. Decided to come back for one of the private karaoke rooms and were disappointed on multiple fronts. First, while calling to book, there was staff confusion about when the room was actually available. They changed our time slot three times before confirming. It took us over 20 minutes on the phone. I was worried that our room wouldn't actually be available to us when we arrived. Second, when we arrived at 8:50pm for our 9pm reservation, we were told that the party ahead of us had started their session late, and that we would not be allowed to enter our room until the other party completed their full 1 hour, which was annoying-- it wasn't our fault that the other party showed late for their reservation. Initially we were told we could enter the room at 9:15, but we didn't actually get access until ~9:40pm. Could have been avoided if the reservation conflict were handled differently by the staff. We did appreciate that they tried to make amends by giving us 1 complimentary glass of sparkling wine per guest. Once we were finally in, the room was cute with great decor/atmosphere; the karaoke system was easy to work, versatile and had a huge variety of songs/playlists. However the room was HOT. There were 7 of us, and we were all sweating within 10 minutes. Apparently we are not the only ones who experienced this, since there was oscillating standing fan already running in the room. Although it took up a lot of the small space in the room, the fan didn't make things comfortable. The staff suggested we prop the door open for air flow, but this totally defeats the purpose of having a private room, since we could fully see into the restaurant/be seen with the door ajar. Finally, when it came time to settle our bill, I was told by the server that the room fee was a flat rate of $89 for the hour, rather than $10/person/hr like we were previously told during booking. While this wasn't a big deal (we were a party of 7), the inconsistency was again a sign of poor staff communication at some step in the process. We still managed to enjoy ourselves, but the inconsistent/inaccurate communication from staff during booking, the way the preceding reservation was handled/forcing us to wait 30 minutes, and how hot the room itself was were huge detractors from the experience. It's actually a shame. Stellar atmosphere, fair pricing, quality drinks, intuitive karaoke interface...but really poor staff operations. We may go to Casablanca for drinks, but we'll definitely go elsewhere for...
