Ordered the Chile rellenó, took the first bite and noticed something was off. I was about to take my second bite and noticed there was PLASTIC in my food. At first, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe a little piece had fallen in while they were making my food (which is still wild) but as I began to examine my food more closely I realized the whole chile rellenó was WRAPPED IN PLASTIC!! I could literally pull the plastic up and see all the toppings come off of the chile. (as seen in my photos) I told our server politely that I had ate a piece of plastic (literally could have died) and he couldn't even get a full sentence out. He took my plate back and had someone else bring me a new plate. Neither the first nor the second server apologized. The second server just gave me my new plate.. which I was iffy about eating. They didn't apologize, ask if we wanted to talk to anyone about the issue, offer to remove the order from our tab or even offer any type of discount. When we got our tab we asked if we could have it removed since we had a whole chile wrapped in plastic and as we were leaving one of the cooks gave us the dirtiest looks, from the time we asked to have it removed from the tab to the moment we walked out the door. Horrible experience.. definitely will not be going back.

We were out exploring beautiful Oak Cliff, celebrating 15 years of marriage and enjoying some live flamenco. Afterward, we decided to finish the night at the highly recommended Coco Fire & Ice. WOW, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT. When we arrived, there were two men who appeared to be waiters taking a "break," but no host greeted us or acknowledged our presence. We stood there for about five minutes, expecting someone to at least greet us or let us know if they weren’t serving anyone that night. It felt like we weren’t welcome. We were really looking forward to checking out this place, and according to Google, they close at 11 pm. We arrived at 10:02 pm, but no one made any effort to communicate with us. After waiting without any response, we decided to leave, knowing it was the start of what was likely going to be a very negative experience. Thankfully, Gloria’s always welcomes us with open arms, even when we arrive late, like at 10:20 pm, just before they close at 10:30 pm.

I saw an IG post from a food vlogger and decided to check them out. Upon entering, I almost thought we'd gone to the wrong address. When you first walk in, you'll see a shared space containing an art store, a soap, oils, and candle store, and a jewelry spot. At the very end is Coco's Fire and Ice. I'll definitely need to return for the soaps and candles. Anywho, we were seated right away. It was not busy at all, and I wondered if it had to do with the front shops. We ordered the ceviche for our appetizer. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful. I had the Let That Man Go, which was tasty, and my husband had the Casa Margarita. Our main dishes were the Enchiladas Verdes and the Barbacoa. We enjoy our meals. The refried beans were so good. I don't think I've ever wanted to mention refried beans, but they were so dang delicious! The enchiladas were small, but you got five on the plate, and it filled you up. My husband loved his tacos, and a clean plate was the result.

I went to Coco’s Fire and Ice for my friend’s birthday brunch on Sunday, August 2. It was reserved for 7 people. Everything was fine, but they did forget that we were seven girls who needed to be seated. There were only 5 chairs and two small tables put together, but we did mention we needed 2 more because we had reserved it for seven. We ordered our hibiscus mimosas first and later on our food. The waiter told us we had to wait a bit because they had just ran out of champagne and they were in the process of getting more. We were cool with that no big deal. When the waiter came with the champagne bottle and the hibiscus concentrate he accidentally spilled it on the table and all on my dress and my boots. It was dripping down my leg and instead of going to get me paper towels (the waiter did say I’m sorry), but kept serving the champagne. I was silent and I got up from my chair with tears about to come out and I was asking where the entrance back to the restaurant was because I was going to clean myself off in the restroom. I walked to the restroom with red stains on my dress and boots while the hibiscus was dripping down my leg. Thankfully someone opened the door and my best friend and I cleaned my dress and my boots. I did cry in the restroom because to the waiter I wasn’t important enough to even receive paper towels. It was very rude and I’ve worked in the service industry before and if I’d done that to someone I would immediately apologize and get them PAPER TOWELS the drinks can wait. One of the mangers came over and offered to get my shoes cleaned at his shop. He said he would leave me his phone number, but he NEVER did. All I have to say is that accidents happen all the time which is fine, but when you spill something on someone as a waiter you should know to apologize and get the customer some PAPER TOWELS! (The waiter did apologize, but next time I hope he takes care care of his customers). The food was great, but the service sucked. I will not be...

We were very excited to try this place out after seeing their pictures on social media. Unfortunately after our experience we decided to not give them our business. There was a miscommunication with the valet worker and the manager. Seems like the valet worker was suppose to close and not let entry of cars on one side of the parking lot. He was very professional and nice to us when we arrived and let us know the valet fee. We were not told we had to pull around the other side he let us through the cones and the manager came out screaming at us and accusing us of moving the cones and letting ourselves in. She ran towards us and yelled saying “look what you did, because of you I now have a line of cars all here in the parking lot”. We hadn’t said a word and were very confused at first and then realized that between her and the valet worker they had a miscommunication and it was all being taken out on us when we were not the problem. I am very upset that we didn’t get to try their food and extremely disappointed in the managers way of handling this situation. We have never experienced someone accusing and making a huge deal about entering a parking lot. She could have simply said “ We are sorry there has been a miscommunication and error here. This isn’t the entrance and we need you as well as everyone else behind you to back up and either pull around or choose another parking area because we are closed” that’s it. We didn’t need to be accused of moving cones and being told it’s “our fault” that the parking lot had a lot of cars trying to pull in. Very unprofessional. We regret making the drive of an hour and a half...

We came here on a Thursday night for my birthday. I had never been here before and was excited to try it. The hostess seated us and besides one other table, we were the only people in the restaurant. We then waited about 8 mins or so for her to come get a drink order from us. After she brought my drink (she never brought my husband's soda) she asked if we were ready. "Are you ready" is basically the extent of her conversing with us. The waitress was not friendly and acted like we were an imposition to her. We ordered three appetizers and two entrees. They then proceeded to rush us. We received our apps in under 5 minutes and our entrees were out 3 minutes after that. It was ridiculous. There was no reason to pace the apps and our entrees appropriately. They weren't busy but they seemed like they wanted us to get out. We sat down at like 7pm so it wasn’t late.

The waitress never checked in with us, I never got another drink, and she never asked us if we wanted dessert or even the bill. We had to ask the other waitress for the bill. The service was beyond terrible and killed the happy vibe of the place. They had great live music but it was hard to enjoy over the misery of our waitress. Food is really good but things like guacamole, drinks, and chips/salsa (which are not free what the heck) are...
