NEVER SHOPPING HERE AGAIN.

I stopped by the store one night after dinner, saw a cute necklace marked as a “vintage medallion”, and bought it for $120. This was more expensive than their usual $30-40 jewelry range, but I figured it’s because it’s vintage and one-of-a-kind. I went home and upon further inspection, I noticed it wasn’t even vintage - it looked brand new (and so not remotely worth $120).

The next day I drove back to the store and asked to return the necklace because it wasn’t vintage like they had advertised. A different sales girl tells me “all jewelry is final sale” and that this policy was printed on my receipt. But when I bought the necklace, the sales girl didn’t tell me anything about the return policy and didn’t even give me a receipt at checkout!

I told her about the situation: a) it was marked as “vintage” when it clearly is not; b) the original sales girl didn’t tell me about the return policy; and c) I didn’t get a receipt at checkout with the policy. She went to the back to speak with the manager, returned a few minutes later and said they would not accept the return. I asked why and she said for “hygiene reasons” - even though it had been less than 24 hours since I bought it and I hadn’t worn it. Even though I was annoyed, I took the necklace back and was leaving the store when I saw another of the same necklace on display! This one was also marked at $120 and titled “vintage”. Clearly not if they have multiples in stock! LIE!

I used to shop here quite a bit for gifts or items for myself, but I’ll never shop here again. They’re scammers. They not only lie about the quality of their items, but they also clearly overprice them and provide terrible...

Visited last Thursday and loved the selection of gifts! As a frequent gift buyer I often see the same merchandise in very store. Not so with Urban Owl! WOW! They had a FANTASTIC selection... something for everyone (kids, adults, teens) and at every price point...from kitsch like motel style plastic key chains to sweet unique books I had never seen before. We purchased a little book about cheese and were delighted by the gift wrap! Wish I would have thought to take a photo before we gifted it! I can’t believe someone would write a bad review about sanitizing their filthy hands it’s really unnecessary. This store is so cute and yes there are thousands of items that guess what you most likely touch and pick up. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It’s full of gifts, jewelry, books, plants, and other fine goods. I took my children in there this past weekend and they had their hands on everything.
