Corner Bakery Cafe — Restaurant in Dallas

I will NEVER return to this location again. The salads have gone down hill in a bad way. Just a dusting of salad greens, a load of toppings, and drowned in dressing. I knew that Corner Bakery was stingy with their salad greens, so I asked the lady taking my order if I could PAY EXTRA FOR EXTRA GREENS. The lady just looked at me, didn't acknowledge my request, had an attitude like I was bothering her by expecting her to do the job she's payed for. When my order came out it clearly did not have extra greens. I complained to the Manager, I was offered a new salad and to have my funds refunded. I was given a new salad. IT HAD LESS GREENS THAN THE ORIGINAL. I was asked if it was fine and I was so over the situation, I just agreed so I could leave without treating someone poorly. Then instead of refunding my purchase, I was given the equivalent in coupons, to the same place. Why on earth would I want to return??? I was insulted by Tia who clearly did not want to be where she was, and I'm insulted by management that handed me a "remade salad as requested" and it was just as shotty if not worse. The server Brittny was extremely rude. To the point it made me and my family uncomfortable. She couldn’t find us since we were sitting outside we politely went up to her and advised we were outside she rolled her eyes and followed me outside. She ends up dropping the soup and I’m the bowl breaks and she just kicks it and proceeds to our table doesn’t say a word and just start pretty much dropping the plates on the table really aggressively I’m just sitting back looking at her awkwardly. I tell her our food is incorrect and we ordered it without bacon again without even saying a word and rolling her eyes she starts snatching the plates off the table at this point I was so uncomfortable I just told her politely it was ok I’ll just take the salads inside since she clearly had an attitude. I went inside to speak to a manager and as I was speaking to the manager she interrupts and says “your a liar but ok”. The manager was extremely apologetic however the fact the employee felt comfortable enough to speak to someone like this in front of her own manager is the reason she’s comfortable walking around dropping the plates off at the table really...

I like to frequent Corner Bakery once every year or two to see if anything has improved, and sadly I can say that I don't think I've ever had an above average experience here. At this location, the staff was friendly, the restaurant was clean (and empty at lunch time), and the menu seems* diverse enough and the pictures of the food make the entrees look scrumptious. I had lunch here and walked in with an open mind and even some optimism after seeing some new menu items. I got some Pesto pasta and a side caesar salad. Nothing tasted terrible, but that's not exactly how you want someone to describe your food. For my pasta, I had to ask for parmesan to try to add some flavor, which didn't bring out anything. Then I went so far as to try to salt my meal (gross and so unhealthy) - didn't make anything better. Corner Bakery is an average restaurant that really should try to kick up their effort a notch because I think they have the potential to deliver some great food.
