If I could give negative stars I would! Atrocious customer service! Myhusband and I went in for lunch yesterday and it wasn't busy at all. We ordered from a nice young lady who repeated our order correctly. When she asked if I wanted a receipt, I declined, but then changed my mind. When our order came to our table it was completely wrong. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich with a bowl of tomato basil soup. I received a chicken Caesar salad sandwich and a cup of tomato basil soup. My husband ordered a chicken friand with a side Caesar and a bowl of tomato basil soup. He received a combo plate ( not how he ordered it) where the food looked like it had been sitting for hours. We told the young lady who delivered the food that our order was incorrect, she apologized and said it had been happening all day.
We decided to not eat and leave and went to ask for our money to be returned. The manager who helped us, did not have on a name tag and was chewing on his cuticles behind the counter where the food was being served. When we explained what happened he asked for my receipt and then began to chastise my husband and I for not checking our receipt as it was rung up the way it was delivered. I explained that the young lady repeated my order correctly before I paid, so I didn't feel I needed to read my receipt. He continued to tell my husband and I that it was our fault and never uttered an apology.
The unnerving part is that we ate at this location a few weeks ago and had bad service and decided to try again. That time our order was taken and after my food was delivered the manager (same one as above) told my husband his order could not be made. That he "didn't know what happened" , but that he needed to change his order. My husband ordered soup ( obviously not what was originally order) and it took another twenty minutes. The manager again never apologized.
This location is definitely sub par and gives La...

I have never left a review of a place before but my two experiences at this location compelled me. First time I get my usual order, a croque monsieur and a cup of potato soup. The soup was great as always but wow, the croque monsieur was the worst one I’ve ever gotten. It looked like the middle school knock off version the lunch lady tried to make. It looked and tasted like it was only half way prepared, it was cold and you could tell it was not prepared at all the way it needed to. Not even the cheese on the outside of the sandwich was melted. I said I wouldn’t go back for awhile after that but today, I found myself not feeling that well today and a bowl of potato soup from La Madeline is my go to when feeling sick. I pull up to the window and ask for bread or some crackers for my soup, as they offer these things for free in their locations. I was absolutely shocked when the women told me that this location is a “boutique” location and the bread costs money and they don’t have anything for the soup. What other things are they going to charge for because it’s a “boutique” location? Here’s my problem, there are zero signs, advertising, or any indication that this place is different than your average La Madeline. It feels pretty scammy to me to advertise your store as a regular one but then tell people when asking for something provided at the normal store for free, you charge them for it. You need to add some kind of sign within two weeks or I will get the BBB, the city, or whoever needs to know because this is false advertising, it’s a pure bait and switch. Not even the Google listing for this place mentions it’s a boutique. Something is not right and I will happily make sure this...
Read moreLa Madeline has been my go-to for decades anytime I traveled to TX. The chain never disappoints & the French Country Breakfast is my usual. Until this time… First, we and several folks behind us waited at the register for over 10 minutes while staff flittered around us without saying one word to acknowledge that we were there. A woman in a beanie finally strolled; dragging her feet from the back. Took our order and we sat down. After 8 minutes, we decided to ask about our mimosa’s where we were told they didn’t know. Ok, weird as it was rang up in the POS but not a biggie, it happens sometimes. Few minutes later, they brought out the OJ, glasses & champagne for us to make ourselves. Keep in mind, it took 10 minutes to order, 8 min for our kit to make mimosas and then another 14 for our breakfast. I kept looking at my plate trying to figure out what was missing. Once I realized the part that made it “French” potato galette was missing, I went up to ask. She quickly brushed me off and said I have them in the oven. I decided to put a timer on it bc by now I’m just irritated— who wants to eat a dry hash brown alone? It took 21 minutes & 24 seconds for it to come out ALMOST COOKED. We almost gave up on it because our meal was eaten so far in advance. Lastly, while I was waiting, I went to refill my coffee only to find out the coffee was totally removed from its location. Listen, I understand businesses are dealing with finding good help resulting in running lean. But from what I could see, I counted 5 staff members minus the cooks in the back. With this store being a much smaller restaurant (& the restaurant only being half full) in comparison to most, I don’t understand the inconsistency this store represented today. ...
