This was my first visit to this location and I was impressed. Very clean and spacious. This was also the first time I've seen a Dickeys with buffet style service (not self-serve) so that was interesting. Everyone who was behind the counter interacted with me and my daughter in some way shape or form and the manager (I'm assuming he was the manager) was extremely attentive, courteous, helpful, and patient while we figured out what we wanted to eat. My daughter and I dined in and were able to watch some of the Olympics that was playing on both tvs. Once we finished eating, the manager cleaned our area for us, told us the weekly specials, and encouraged us to return. A++ for the experience. B+ for the food. There was nothing wrong with it, it's just your average run of the mill "quick serve" bbq. I would definitely recommend this place for a quick dinner or lunch with good comfort food.

I order Large bake with no meat and they gave me these little bitty containers with a small amount of toppings for this huge potatoe and so with that being said i felt as i needed more then 1 of each topping knowing it was so large sad to say i had to throw half of it away because it had no toppings left to cover it.. My fiancee had a 2 meat plate which had ribs & brisket 2 sides he said his was pretty good, just lacked flavor really..but tender n juicy.. Sides were good 2.. We spent 32$ on some food i could have made at home MYSelf definitely won't be going back.. Oh and the Mac n cheese was so horrible i couldn't even eat it just trashed it as well.. I thought the food would have been much better then what i got.

Ordered the brisket sandwiches, jalepeno beans and mashed potatoes and all were delicious and tasty! The brisket is perfectly cooked and flavorful and the BBQ sauce is on point! Not to mention the customer service here is amazing - the man cashing us out made sure he offered us drinks and other condiments like pickles/onions/jalapeños. Enjoyed this meal and would definitely eat at Dickey’s again!

We visited mid- afternoon and the place was desolate. The guy who took our meat order was friendly and quick to respond. The young men who took the order for the sides were less happy about serving us. We were given the option of having BBQ sauce on our brisket, and we said yes. However, there was no access to additional sauce; they charge for each little cup of it. There was no self- service bar for onion, relish, or any other extras, and they were not offered. The banana pudding - which used to be a Dickey's favorite - had a total of two tiny pieces of banana in my entire serving container. It was mostly just artificially- flavored pudding. One vanilla wafer and a piece of another one. The brisket was tasty.. but desperately needed more sauce. We finally just bought two more. Fried okra - another long- time fave - was tough and stringy. I know these locations are franchised, and this one seems to be focusing strictly on profit by cutting back and serving sides that are either watered down or past their prime serving times. It's across from the Arboretum so perhaps they rely on one- time customers more than being a neighborhood fave. Go to Barbec's...

My family was overcharged by the Dickey's on 9004 Garland Rd and their employees refused to refund the correct amount. Here is what occurred:

Three of us all ordered the same thing: the “Classic Sandwich Special" (advertised in the window) plus one side. While waiting, I noticed the menu said “Get 2 sides with any sandwich for $5.00 more” so I asked the lady behind the counter, “Is it $5.00 more for two sides with my sandwich?” She said yes, so I ordered an additional side. The cashier overcharged me $3.58.

When I queried the overcharge the cashier blamed corporate. The problem is I verified the additional cost with her coworker behind the counter before I ordered the additional side, but the cashier refused to honor what I had just been told (and what was on the menu).

To his credit, the manager (who was not there at the time) called me and offered to refund the discrepancy. What he is not addressing is the poor customer service and the...

I was really disappointed with the food and service from this location. The food had no flavor me and my husband had a potato with chopped brisket but we mostly got fatty chucks.Mac and cheese had no flavor and was watered down. The cashier was a young women with both her dad and mom working the register didn’t greet us and kept talking in their language.Since kids eat free on Sundays we double checked and asked I had my 8year old and 11 year old with me to my knowledge kids under age of 12 eat free the dad got bothered because i simply asked and kept saying no no my daughter was getting charged full price for her meal because she looked older.I wasn’t aware I had to carry her birth certificate to prove her age but ok. They don’t have a self serve bar with onions, barbecue ect.Overall disappointed with the food and service won’t be returning back to this location. The restaurant it’s self is pretty...
