Terrible food, and staff was unprofessional. If there was a zero star review, this would be it. The shrimp on the ceviche tasted days old - it melted in my mouth and there was an aftertaste. It needed a lot of seasoning/lime, but we didn't care to fix it - it was gross. The rice looked like a microwaveable Ben's Ready Rice, it was hard and didn't taste like Mexican rice at all. The blackened fish was watery and oily at the same time, you could tell it was cooked frozen - the taste didn't make up for it either. The server did her best to be nice but there was a gentleman on the phone cursing and using the N word while toting a container of dishes (we knew he worked there). The cook looked distraught, didn't acknowledge the food that we sent back, and he was sweating all over the place. Just not a great look to be walking around the dining area. I was so excited to check this place out, being a new Mariscos spot in Bishop Arts, but this was easily my worst meal experience of the year by far.

So I looked this place up and saw they had a good looking El Mar cocktail. So first off this place is medium size seating inside and outside. Pretty family friendly in my opinion. Okay so I ordered two drinks the hurrican and la Paloma. The hurricane I DO NOT recommend, just a bad blend period. La Paloma wasn't to bad, but I've had better. Oh yes then the price 12 bucks for the hurricane and 14 bucks for the Paloma. So we ordered a chicken salad and the El Mar cocktail. Surprisingly the chicken salad tasted and looked fresh and was juicy. The cocktail man it was delicious, exactly what I had been craving didn't disappoint. As far as the service, not well. First after the salad comes to the table she ask if I had ordered something, which I had, so I ordered again. Then after talking while the salad was being eaten and finished, I FINALLY got my meal. I'm just glad everything except the drinks was good.

First time trying it. Some servers definitely need more training. A seat yourself sign should be posted. After sitting down the only waitress there (06/02) came over she said she would come back and bring a drink menu. We waited 30 minutes and she never came back, we went ahead and placed our order online. She came back after about another 10-15 min after we placed the order (with no drink menu) and asking if we wanted to place an order. Told her no thank you, since we had placed the order on the app. When the food and drinks were ready another server brought it out, he continued to check in on us and made our experience a little better. We tried the aguachiles & ceviche both tasted really good. I do hope to come back and bring friends but will have to make sure to have a better server.

This place has so much potential but the service from the bar and management ruins it. The food has a very well presentation and taste good. Kitchen staff was putting it out in a timely manner but if the bartender and wait staff weren’t so busy socializing amongst each other then it would help improve where they lack. I was there tonight on a Saturday and the bartender could either not keep up with the demand or it was the socializing with the regulars and shots he was taking with them that slowed him down. From ready orders sitting on the window for 15 min to him forgetting to input orders for a customer waiting. Either get another bar tender to help out or get one that can handle the demand. I would advise do not order food at the bar. Create a new cocktail menu where tequilas, vodkas, champagnes are not mixed with each other to create a cocktail or get a bartender that’s capable of putting out the recipe as planned. On a 1-10 scale I would rate the mixed drinks from the bartender tonight a 2. Management or owners not sure which seemed to be present but were to busy socializing with each other and taking drinks and shots out to the parking lot and forgetting about the business in general. This place will never have a great revolving customer clientele if management doesn’t step in. Don’t get me wrong be good to regulars but keep new customers satisfied as well because they will help build your...

Another first, looked them up on line. Checked out the photos and reviews and was like we gone give them a try. We went around lunch time, and there was nobody there eating. We came in and was able to seat where we wanted. The waitress came right over for our drink orders. Gave us some chips and salsa, the chips was stale so I ask for another bowl and she politely replaced them. Anyways, we ordered the $65 seafood boil bag. I was so excited to try it, but it was an Epic fail! The shrimp or crab didn't taste clean at all! My mom got sick off of it and we said we will never go back there. I was really disappointed, because these reviews be having you ready thinking you're about to eat some great food and it be trash. I'm gone be honest, it's best to just try things on your on then going by these reviews. I mean we were the first customers there, so the food should have been fresh and on point! Any review I give I am going to tell the truth out about it. Now they do give excellent customer service though and I that I truly liked. And once we told them we didn't want the food and it tasted bad. They did immediately offer us something else, but we declined. We had our months set on that seafood boil. But sometimes that is...
