Title: A Disastrous Transformation: A Warning to All in Bishop Arts District!
Review: Rating: no ⭐️
Oh, how the mighty have fallen! The once beloved convenient store in Bishop Arts District has been taken over by new owners, an Indian or East Asian family, who have single-handedly destroyed what used to be a cherished neighborhood gem. It's with great disappointment and a heavy heart that I write this scathing review to warn others about the nightmare that awaits them should they step foot in this establishment.
Let's start with the most glaring offense - the new owners' audacity to raise prices. It's clear they have no regard for the hardworking individuals and families in this neighborhood who relied on this store for affordable goods. Their greed knows no bounds as they shamelessly exploit their customers by inflating prices to unimaginable levels. It's a shame to witness such a blatant disregard for the community's well-being.
But that's not all. The store shelves have been stocked with the most appalling selection of cheap merchandise. It's as if they raided a discount warehouse and haphazardly threw in whatever junk they could find. Gone are the days when one could find quality products at fair prices. Instead, you're met with a sea of subpar items that won't last a day before falling apart. It's insulting to the intelligence of the customers who were once loyal patrons.
Furthermore, it's evident that the new owners have absolutely no care for the neighborhood clientele. They lack the basic courtesy and customer service skills that were once the hallmark of this place. Gone are the friendly smiles and familiar faces that made this store feel like a second home. Instead, you're greeted with indifference and a complete lack of interest in assisting customers. It's as if they view us as mere nuisances, unworthy of their attention.
In conclusion, the new owners of this convenient store have successfully managed to ruin what was once a beloved neighborhood institution. Their shameless price hikes, pathetic merchandise, and deplorable customer service have transformed this place into a wasteland of disappointment. I implore you, dear readers, to spare yourselves the agony and avoid this establishment at all costs. Let this review serve as a cautionary tale for anyone who cherishes quality, fair prices, and respect for...
Read moreIGNORANT, UNCULTURED and RUDE AFRICANS. DINGY STORE. I wish I could give this place ZERO stars as they don't even deserve one star. I'm new to the neighborhood and I came into the store (on February 25th at around 5:50 p.m. to 6 p.m.) to pick up a few items on my way home. I had my laptop bag and purse with me. I work at an I.T. Company and I am on call so my company requires me to carry my laptop home each day. I take the bus because I work downtown and parking at my building is $18 dollars a day so I had my bags with me. I was also wearing my badge. When I came into the store I passed by a shelf and mistakenly knocked down a pack of peanuts of which I picked up immediately. When I came back to register with my things to pay I noticed the balance was not correct. I asked why. The African man behind the register told me he had charged me for the peanuts I had picked up off the floor. I told him I wasn't buying any peanuts and he came from behind the register, walked up on me (I'm a woman) and started screaming I had 'stolen' the peanuts and demanding to know where they were. I was shocked by his response. I am almost 40 yrs old. I had never in my life been treated so horribly in any establishment I have ever gone into . He humiliated me in front of everyone else in the store and started screaming repeatedly to give him the peanuts. He followed me down the aisle until I showed him where I laid the peanuts. I was a complete stranger to this man. I was professionally dressed and for some reason, probably because I'm black, he felt I was a thief. It's illogical considering he was a black Nigerian and most people think they are scammers. Get what I'm saying? He gave in to negative stereotypes. I've never stolen in my life, I am college educated, a homeowner and I work 40 to 50 hours per week. But this ignorant SOB felt I was a thief. When I showed him where I put the peanuts, he didn't apologize. He just walked off. Unbelievable. I was so infuriated I told him I would not purchase from his store...
Read moreMY GO TO STORE 🤗 For me personally, this store feels HOME ! Very homely environment and welcoming gesture of Asian family is next level. They put in extra effort to help the customers get the product they are looking for. It just feels beautiful. On the other hand, the varieties of craft beers is very impressive. Always well managed and well taken care of. Very hardworking employees here to meet the expectations of neighborhood families, considering every one of them as their own. Very cultured. The prices of each product here depends on the market demand. The price can go up due to limited quality supply. I find that reasonable too because the price of the product increases due to the general increase in prices of goods and services over time. This can affect the cost of everything. So to conclude, I just want the owner of this store to know that, This store is loved and respected as much as...
