I love Norma's! Great food, great portions, & great prices! What's not to like? It's also BYOB (which a lot of people don't know about.)

I'm always the first to suggest Norma's whenever my friends & I are deciding on a Sunday brunch spot. We're never disappointed with the food, literally everything we've tried has been a hit. Service on the other hand has always been hit or miss. Nothing too terrible but not memorable either... Until I had Morgan. This five star review will be solely dedicated to Morgan.

Instead of my usual Sunday brunch with friends visit. I went to Norma's alone on a Saturday night on 12/21/19 because I was really craving a bowl of chili. It wasn't busy, I sat myself & was greeted with a menu by another waitress. Then Morgan came with the sweetest smile. Now I'm going to recall every specific detail that happened because this review would be too long, but the whole experience I had that night was lovely. Morgan was always checking up on me without being overbearing & always servicing me with a smile on her face.

Every request I made she was happy to do so without complaints or annoyance. Like I said I've had hit or miss service at Norma's before & no one ever stood out like Morgan. From now on I know who to ask for each time I come back. I know waiters hardly get recognition so if I could take time, do a survey, or write a review for someone who makes my whole dining experience a better one I will definitely take the time to do so. I love Norma's I have been going for years and it Pains me to only leave them a 3 star review ... but I have no choice ...

The food and service are amazing, but recently the atmosphere has suffered terribly.

I have a regular server - Her Name is Heather and she is the best person at Norma's I would go just for her even if the food was bad.

All that being said Recently due to management pressure the location is always overstaffed - servers are fighting for tables or there is nothing to do waiting for someone to come in and being bored so they slack off or talk amongst themselves.

Heather is always busy because she has regulars and her regulars are well known; However, Now every time i go in i get bombarded by a different server and I have to very specifically send them away and ask for Heather. I do not like doing this - it makes me uncomfortable and they are always disappointed. This all changed after the new manager showed up and started over-staffing the shifts.

I do not need to be charged by ravenous servers hoping i will give up my regular server, and I really DO NOT WANT to have to constantly reject servers like i am on some misbegotten dating app.

I love Norma's and I will continue to go to Norma's as long as Heather is there - but as of current the atmosphere has been ruined for me and for a diner - Atmosphere is very important.
