I usually don’t like Italian restaurants in America, so I stick to cooking my fusions at home. This was one of the rare restaurants my husband and I enjoyed. We went to Italy recently, and we felt the essence was captured. We loved the cozy coastal environment, the intimacy, the kind service and perfect food! I got the seafood pasta. I felt for once the essence of the sea with fresh seafood, perfect fresh ingredients. I usually add crushed red chilli flakes but need a lot. In this case, a small sprinkle was taken so well. It almost makes me concerned American Italian restaurants use so much sugar and preservatives. My husband got the arrabiata which got really spicy with the red chili flakes. We also had the portabello fries which weren’t too battered and gave the essence of the mushroom with a great pesto mayo. We only encourage nothing changes about the restaurant and the chef from Italy keeps the tradition going. We will for sure come again as there were more dishes we were thinking about. Thank you for a...
Read moreWe had a GREAT TIME! Sat on the patio. Luis was an amazing and attentive server. Made some great recommendations and made himself available without ever making us feel rushed. Each course was fresh and authentically prepared as we ordered it so everything was spectacular. The Caesar was crisp and perfectly dressed My cacio e pepe was creamy and delicious as was the carbonara Linguine with clams had beautiful plump clams on a bed of soft noodles and the sauce was light and flavorful Gnocchi was filling/ We didn't add a protein but we should have ... maybe chicken..? Speaking of chicken The chicken piccata was the hit of the night -Absolutely mind blowing Portions were good Cannoli and cream cake were a super sweet ending And they'd sent over some Orange liqueur digestifs A great experience throughout
Just a short couple blocks west of bishop arts Plenty of street parking if you go early
Great little space for date night, Patio dining, Or even just a couple of cocktails & wine

Read moreWe were seated by the hostess and left sitting alone for almost 10 minutes. It a single person came by and asked if we needed anything. We flagged down the manager who looked puzzled that we didn’t even have a menu on our table and told us he will be our server lol. He handed us the menu and asked if we we knew what we wanted before we even had a chance to open the menu lol. Shows his attention to detail lol. We order an appetizer but no bread or condiments were offered at this “fine dining experience” lol. The food came and was average. Nothing to rave about. Had better at many other Italian restaurants. This is a 3 star restaurant with 5 star prices and 2 star service. Once the typical Dallas newness wears off this place will convert to a pizza shop in about a year. Get ready for the owner to claim that I’m an ex employee writing this review lol as they have for every single other negative review. I would not recommend this place. Overpriced and...
