Came into Dallas for a work relevant and found this restaurant. Started with queso and Rita’s that were on point. Then, as we decided on our orders, our server, Kat, gave the best description of the special that my friend couldn’t even wait to hear the entire description “I need that!” She said.

The margaritas are, no cap, the best around. Strong enough to know you’ve had one but super tasty and not going to leave you unable to enjoy your evening.

From the homemade tortillas and queso to the meals and even the desserts, though there simply was no way we were gonna fit another bite in our bellies, but we saw some on other tables, it’s clear Pappasitos takes the business of making people happy very seriously.

We never had an empty glass and the plates were gone as soon as the food was eaten. Honestly. We assumed Kat was a probably a trainer server so in our final conversation with her, when she said it was her first week here, we immediately asked to see a manager!

Why? Because it’s not common for newer servers to be this dang good this soon and we wanted to acknowledge this with her management team.

But guess what happened…. You know how managers are? Sykoria made her was out to the table within a minute or so and she asked if we were having a good evening.

We shared with her how great we fell Kat was doing and do you know what she said?

She thanked us for caring enough to take the time to give our feedback. She explained that our feedback helps a lot and they truly appreciate it.

Sometimes managers “say” the right thing. But tonight, I really believed that Sykoria truly appreciated our feedback.

The table next to us overhears the conversation and even agrees that they were very surprised that we were both having such great...

Everything about our visit to Pappacito's Cantina was outstanding! I wish I could remember our servers name because he was absolutely fantastic and made us feel like we were family. Although he was a native Texan, he made an immediate connection to my husbands Wisconsin accent because he had attended college to play basketball in Southern Wisco. Our servers smile and sense of humor was infectious and he had patience with our questions, recommended several of his favorite entrees when I was undecided, and more importantly he didn't hover but was always there when needed. Perfect service is few and far between and he was perfect! I started with a Top Shelf Margarita ($9.95) while my husband and 11yo son had sodas and we then ordered guacamole ($9.95) and queso ($7.95, medium-sized) for starters, which were both delicious. My husband had the Coronado ($21.95) which he enjoyed immensely, but not surprisingly the brochette-style grilled shrimp was by far the tastiest thing on his plate. I ordered the Chicken Flautas ($14.95) on our servers recommendation and was not disappointed. Our son ordered a Soft Taco meal from the kids menu ($5.95) and although I was initially concerned that it would not be enough to satisfy his appetite, the portion size was more than adequate. Pricing is a bit high for Mexican food in TX, our bill with tip included was just under $100 for a family of three, but the quality of the food and the service was spectacular. Thank you, Pappacito's Cantina staff, for a wonderful...

My very first job was as a hostess at a Pappasito’s Cantina. For years I have thought that Pappasito’s had good food and great service at a fair price. This changed in the last few years and it made me sad. Because of this I did not frequent any of the Pappasito’s restaurants very often. My perspective changed this past weekend. I cannot say enough good things about my experience.

The food was good and the service was outstanding. My family (4 people) went to have dinner(April 30th). The food arrived and was good, but we noticed my daughter’s salmon was a little underdone. She and I were just looking at it and discussing eating around the middle. We were not going to say anything. Alex, manager on duty, noticed us talking and looking at the salmon. She came over and offered to make a new one. We said not to worry about it, but she insisted. It was obvious that she really wanted to make certain my daughter had a good dinner, she even comped the salmon dinner. Alex also went out of her way to make certain everything else was good and we enjoyed our evening out. She checked on us through the rest of the meal and even brought desert. The brownie was fantastic - highly recommend. We would have never said anything about the salmon, but Alex saw a problem and made certain to fix it. It is nice to experience excellent customer service again from a restaurant chain that was once known for their dedication to the customer experience. Thank you Alex! I will definitely be back on a more...

The presentation of the food, the quality and service was TOP TIER! I had the snapper ceviche as a starting appetizer and it was delicious. It was fresh, appetizing and very flavorful. I took my best friend for his birthday and the bar staff was very attentive and pleasant. Due to it being Fathers Day weekend the wait for the food was a bit longer than normal but our bartender, Top, was very engaging and made sure she stayed on top of it and kept us in the loop. The main course of lamb chops was cooked a bit more than it should’ve been the first time but the manager Brittany really stepped up to make sure we were well taken care of. They remade my best friends meal to go even after he said he stayed that it would be fine to eat due to not wanting to wait any longer. Brittany didn’t take no for an answer and convinced him to allow the cook to remake the meal to go and they definitely got it right the second time. I had the Shrimp Tijuana with chicken and it was so good. The portions were generous and the taste was just as expected as a Mexican Cuisine fan. To top it off Brittany offered a free dessert for our troubles and our bartender Top threw in a free queso for our wait. Brittany and her staff at Pappasitos really know how to take care of their customers and my experience was A++ despite the minor hiccups. Thank you all so much for a great experience and amazing birthday dinner for my bestie. I’ll definitely be back with more friends in the future!

Went here for a company lunch, since it was a coworkers 60th birthday. The atmosphere is cute and looks like a place you'd want to happy hour at, for sure. The salsa is served warm and tasted like something was wrong with it. I usually tear up the chips and salsa at Tex-Mex places, but after a few chips-worth of attempts, I had to give up on it. I mentioned this to a coworker and he thought the same thing. So hardly anyone touched the chips and salsa. The chips are thin, oily and little to no salt on them. We ordered the queso with ground beef in it. It was alright, but can't say more about it. Nothing to write home about. Taste like something you'd make with Velveeta in a crockpot at home. I ordered the tequila lime salad with Salmon, and though it was okay, it still had a bit of that funky taste on it too...so maybe it is the oil they use? I can't be sure, but I have never experienced this at a Tex-Mex place before and it is enough for me to not want to eat there ever again. After the server took our order, she came back 15-20 min later and said she had lost our order...so she had to re-confirm our orders and put them in. At the end of the meal, they did sing happy birthday to our coworker, which was nice and fun...and they gave a scoop of ice cream with a strawberry and chocolate sauce on it. Underwhelming, but sure. Nice gesture. All in all, 2/5, would not return.
