The service here is excellent and the two attendants were extremely knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their product. The ice cream itself was rather tasty and delicious. The one thing I wasn't thrilled about was the portion size / price ratio. I had a split single, which was two tiny scoops for around $6.75. Granted, I get that it's a single scoop spread across two flavors, but still. You can get a pint of Jenni's for a dollar more or a pint of Ben & Jerry's for almost 2 bucks less. You could even tell the server was trying to get as much as he could into the little scooper, which I appreciated. I would suggest to the owners to at least consider either dropping the ice cream prices by a little over a dollar OR to increase the size served, if not a little of both.

Side note: the cookies here are mind-blowingly good AND are an excellent deal, so definitely give those a try! I think the cookies are made by...

My review is biased because I am a friend of the proprietors.

That being said, I've still eaten and enjoyed a lot of ice cream in my day, from a variety of locales, made with a variety of methods and ingredients. Based off that experience I can say that Parlor's offers a five star product in terms of quality, creativity and taste. I think it's just a bonus that they're supporting the local community by working directly with small farmers and local producers and hiring from a young, local labor pool for their scoopers (high school and college kids) which shows they have heart and soul in what they make here. And personally I find their clean, simple "farmhouse" aesthetic visually appealing.

I really struggle with choice in many situations and with Parlor's unique and seasonal flavor offerings I must say the struggle is real every time I go. I haven't been disappointed with my selection...

Tried the Milk & Cookies and Cookies & Cream. The Cookies & Cream was delicious—definitely my favorite of the two! I wasn’t a huge fan of the Milk & Cookies—it mostly just tasted like plain vanilla to me. The waffle cone was super fresh and added a nice touch. I do wish the ice cream texture was a bit creamier and less icy, which I’ve seen others mention too. Overall, the ice cream tastes high quality, and I appreciated that it wasn’t overly sweet.

The space is pretty small, and I wish there was indoor seating, especially with the heat. There are benches outside, but we ended up sitting in the car.

Staff was friendly, though the vibe was a bit awkward/fake nice; we got some odd looks that made sampling feel a little uncomfortable. I’d still come back to try...

The ice cream was absolutely delicious. Parlor's served at our child's birthday party and it was a big hit. The kids loved being able to order their own ice cream and try the many flavors. The service was wonderful and a quick setup. Their cart and ice cream flavors are nostalgic and I loved the fact that the ingredients are locally sourced and made in house. So not only is the ice cream excellent, but you feel great about indulging in something that supports local businesses and farms. We will definitely have them scoop at our house again in the future!

Best ice cream in Dallas, hands down!! I'm so impressed with the quality alone. As a person who grew up in the Midwest, my standards for ice cream are probably unreasonable lol. This place exceeded all my expectations. Also, they have homemade waffle cones that have the perfect balance of sweet and crunchy to go with the ice cream. The very best part is they offer the "single split" where you can get smaller scoops of two flavors instead of committing to a huge double scoop that most places only offer.
