This place is hands down the best Hawaiian poke restaurant in Dallas— no competition. I’ve been struggling to find a good poke spot to replace Don Don Poke in Plano, and nothing ever came close… until now.

It’s a 45-minute drive, but my sister hyped it up so much that I finally agreed to go. She actually drove there twice last weekend, but it was sold out just an hour after opening on Saturday. One of the staff members told her it’s best to order online since their inventory updates in real time. We placed our order online, and it went through! Just to be safe, we also called the store to double-check before heading out.

It was a long drive, but 100000% worth it. I haven’t been to Hawaii, but I can tell their poke is as authentic as it gets. At first, I was a little thrown off by the price, since most poke spots I go to are around $14. But once I saw the portions, it all made sense. They did not skimp on the fish, AT ALL. I actually had more fish than rice by the end, which never happens!

The shoyu ahi tuna, shoyu salmon, and creamy salmon were all incredibly fresh and delicious. If you like spicy, definitely go for the creamy version. We also tried the kalbi and fried spam musubi; both were made fresh to order with generous portions.

The space is small since it’s designed for takeout, with just two tables inside and one outside. Luckily, nobody was dining in on this Wednesday night, so we grabbed a table and dug in right away. The place was buzzing with people coming in and out to pick up their orders. I overheard a worker say they only make what they can based on the day’s fish delivery, which explains the exceptional freshness.

I truly hope business keeps booming so they can open more locations quickly, especially in Plano. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for bringing amazing poke to DFW area. Don’t even bother trying other poke places to compare, Pine Isle is in a...

Poke bowl is the way to go, get the large for up to three different options and thank me later. I got both shoyu tuna and salmon with spicy salmon on half and half (rice and salad) and kept all the toppings. 5 out of 5 -- $18

Tried the garlic shrimp and while the presentation and package were good, I felt a little let down by the flavors. Aromatic, yes! Looked appealing, for sure! Quantity/value of shrimp, hmm could be better just like the garlic profile. Unfair to compare to our delicious garlic shrimp in Hawaii but this can pass in a pinch. 3.9 out of 5 -- $18

I don't eat meat but my little nephew really enjoyed the masubis. Though he is a picky eater, he most often always enjoys anything with spam. I won't rate as I didn't eat but they were $4 each.

Service was great, helpful without being pushy. Gave great recommendations and explanations of some of the menu items. The kitchen staff looked like they really enjoyed working there which is always nice though I'm sure they would welcome cooler air throughout the small shop.

It was quite warm throughout the shop as if you're working in the kitchen heat inside. There are a couple of tables off to the right if you want to dive right into your food but can imagine the wait during lunch time to be a long one so don't count on these tables and chairs.

Order took about 15 minutes to prepare so it was rather quick.

Would...

5-STAR REVIEW Pine Isle in Dallas, TX - A Flavor Paradise! I just had the most incredible experience at Pine Isle in Dallas, and I'm still drooling thinking about it! My 3 year old INHALED the kalbi & my 4 year old loves the mimo salmon.

MUST-TRY ITEMS: Poke Nachos: Genius creation - fresh salmon sashimi, crispy tortilla chips, and spicy sauce... GAME CHANGER! Salmon Poke Salad: Sashimi-grade salmon marinated to perfection with just the right amount of flavor and spice. Fried Musubi: Crispy rice block wrapped around spam - addictive! Garlic Kimchi Fries: Spicy, salty, sweet - these loaded fries will ruin regular fries for you forever! Miso Salmon: Pan-seared to perfection with a rich miso glaze - melted in my mouth! Kalbi: Marinated short ribs that fell off the bone - tender and full of flavor!

SERVICE: Friendly staff, quick service, and a cozy ambiance made this experience truly special. If you're a foodie like me or just looking for a delicious meal in Dallas, Pine Isle is a MUST-VISIT!
