Seth was the heart and soul of the Pokémon card shop. From the moment customers walked through the door, they were greeted by his warm smile and infectious enthusiasm. He wasn’t just an employee—he was a true Pokémon master, always ready to help newcomers understand the game, guide collectors to rare finds, and chat with seasoned players about strategies and upcoming releases.
What made Seth truly special was his deep knowledge and passion for the Pokémon TCG. He could recall set details, card values, and meta trends with ease, making him an invaluable resource for both casual buyers and competitive players. His ability to connect with customers on a personal level turned the shop into more than just a store—it became a community. Regulars would come not only to trade and buy cards but to talk with Seth, knowing he genuinely cared about their collections and progress in the game.
Beyond his expertise, Seth’s kindness and patience set him apart. Whether he was helping a young trainer pick out their first deck or assisting a collector in grading a rare Charizard, he treated everyone with the same level of respect and enthusiasm. He organized tournaments, fostered a welcoming environment, and made sure everyone felt included, regardless of their experience level.
Seth’s impact on the shop and its customers was immeasurable. He wasn’t just great at his job—he made the store a better place for everyone who walked in. His dedication, knowledge, and friendly spirit left a lasting impression, ensuring that the Pokémon card shop wasn’t just a business, but a home for the local...
Read moreI recently brought a large collection of my old Yu-Gi-Oh cards to this shop, including a fully intact, pristine Joey Starter Deck (SDJ) that I’ve owned since childhood.
I left the collection overnight so their Yu-Gi-Oh specialist could review it. The next day, I was told: “There’s nothing of value here.”
That didn’t sit right with me.
Since then, I’ve had a growing gut feeling that something’s off — especially because that deck included several first edition, mint-condition cards, including Time Wizard, which is both rare and valuable when preserved.
The starter deck was still in order and neatly wrapped — but after all these years, I know exactly how it was stored and how it should look. If anything was removed, there would be no way to replace or reseal it without it being obvious.
I don’t want to accuse anyone unfairly, and if I find everything is present when I reopen and verify my collection, I’ll gladly update or remove this review.
But I’m posting this because I trusted this shop with something that matters to me deeply, and now I don’t feel that trust was respected.
I’m not the kind of customer who complains lightly — but if you’re considering leaving anything of value here, I strongly suggest you don’t do so overnight.
I hope this is just a misunderstanding. But others deserve...
Read moreI visited this store a few weeks ago and haven't forgotten about it since. Out of the card stores I've been to so far, this is my top one. Regardless of how busy they are, they always find a way to interact with you regardless of how knowledgeable you are in the hobby. I'm fairly new and went to another card shop before this one that treated me poorly due to my gender. I was under the assumption this card store would do the same but they were just wonderful.
If you're looking for a store to sell and trade singles (graded or not) they'll give you 80 percent of the current price in either cash (I think, I'm not sure) or store credit (that's a guarantee). There's a possibility of negotiating for something higher, but I don't have much experience with that to say.
Also, when I bought the wartortle the og seller offered to find the wartortle 151 card with the best centering. He's very interactive with customers and I'm eternally grateful. Once I have more cards to trade and money to spare, I'll...
