I called several days in advance to book an appointment for a color (returning to my natural light brown from blonde highlights), a cut, and a blowout. The initial booking seemed straightforward. Upon checking in, I was told to take a seat and the stylist would be with me soon. After discussing the color with the stylist, she mentioned working on another client while my color processed, which I completely understood and was fine with. However, a different stylist then took me to wash my hair and, afterward, simply said I was done, leaving my hair in a large knot and unbrushed. When I asked about my scheduled cut and style, this second stylist consulted with the manager and informed me they were too busy to complete them and it would have to be done at a future appointment. Adding to the frustration, my original stylist then returned and stated that she doesn't actually do cuts or blowouts, and that this information should have been communicated at check-in. This was not the case, and I would have clarified my needs from the start had I known. The issues continued after leaving the salon, as I discovered hair dye on my forehead, and after blow-drying my hair at home, the color was much darker than my desired...
Read moreMade an appointment about 2-3 weeks in advance with a particular stylist. When I arrive, they say that they had me down for a different stylist. I say that's fine, please just reschedule me with my original stylist. They tell me that I'll have to pay a cancellation fee. I'm about to just leave when my stylist comes and asks me to try the one they'd scheduled me for. The new stylist tells me that I'm late but if she rushes then she should have enough time. Firstly, I was not late, but it turns out that in addition to marking me down for the wrong stylist they told me the wrong time (was this even my appointment?) I ended up staying and getting my haircut, which was a mistake. The haircut was "fine," however not great and not even particularly good. Especially considering the price, this was easily the worst haircut I've gotten in years. The stylist was clearly rushed due to the incorrect appointment time (and she appeared to be put-off by the whole thing as well). If the money and the stress were not enough of a loss, I'll have to wait to regrow my length in order to get the actual cut...
Read moreThe stylists here and atmosphere are very nice. However, if I’m being honest this was the most pointless hair appointment I’ve ever spent money on. To be fair, I called a few hours in advance as a walk in for either the same day or next day service. because my previous hair appointment with another salon was canceled and I’m on a time constraint. That said.. My hair looks basically identical to before and my roots didn’t turn out all the way I asked. Now I am out $150 and still need to book another appointment to do the same thing at another salon in a day.
I was also directed to dry my own hair at their self-styling bar. While I understand there are time constraints and I was only a walk in, the fact that a self styling station exists speaks to lazy hairdressing in my opinion. If there was no time to at least fully dry my hair (not a blow out, just not dripping wet), then I feel that should’ve been specified by the front desk and I never would have made an appointment. The stylist did offer to semi-power dry my hair, but the whole experience was a turn off from...
