Ever since I discovered Raising Cane's in Baton Rouge years ago, I have loved this chain restaurant. When it was small, it was the best chicken you could find, but bigger doesn't always mean better. I haven't gone here for awhile because there seemed to be a distinct difference in the quality of the chicken -it was tougher, and seemed to have tendons in it. Today I thought I would give it another try, especially because they have been promoting these Dallas Cowboys cups. I ordered the 4 pc Box combo in the drive thru, and asked for an extra Cane's sauce (which is delicious, especially on the fries!) and upgraded my drink to a large so I could get the cup. When Brisa handed me the cup I asked why it wasn't a Cowboy cup, and she said that was because I didn't ask for one? So I asked, she mumbled a lot, then said it cost more, so I couldn't have one. Nowhere in all of the advertising that I saw, including the menu or the promotions on the outside of the store does it say anything about the price being different. When I questioned her again, she said I would have to go through and replace my order, and it would be $1.39 more. For a paper or plastic cup where only the printing was different. Portions are much smaller, the chicken still had tendons running through it, the Canes sauce portions are tiny, and my fries were cold. Plus the pricing is now ridiculous for the portions that you get.
Customer service like this is the reason I stopped going here in the first place, and I won't be back. How I yearn for the chicken fingers and customer service that I received years ago, and was willing to drive 50 miles out of my way to experience - it was that good. Now I won't drive 2 miles for the quality and attitude I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOrdered a Tailgate platter of 25 tenders at 16:54. I was instructed to pull forward to the end of the drive-thru to await my meal. I became extremely concerned at 17:15 and began calling the restaurant. I phoned the restaurant three times, but to no avail. There was a shift changeover at 1700 and I am sympathetic, however; that only enrages me more. Iām sitting at the end of the drive-thru, being an inconvenience to the customers behind me. Iām making it obvious that Iām in duress by gawking into the restaurant through the glass windows, and all I see is smiling faces. Zero concern or ownership from both the incoming or outgoing staff. I am being honked at and cursed at by a customer behind me whom, apparently, also had their order lost in an abyss. Finally, a young employee comes to my vehicle and offers me a chicken sandwich. I inform her that I ordered 25 tenders. No bread, no sides, no tea. A simple order of 25 tenders. She informs me at 17:25, after several customers/vehicles have driven past me, that they she thinks they are making my order now. I walk into the restaurant because enough is enough and, who I assume is the manager, patronizingly asks what can he do for me. I repeat my order. The manager has no clue where my order or my ticket is. He plucks a platter from another customerās order and throws it in a bag for me. I know this to be true because I asked for extra crispy tenders and I did not receive that. The so-called manager offers me bread. He assures me that he will not charge me for the bread. Pause. Also, the chicken tasted like french fries. They must be utilizing the same fryer...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreItās great to see a Canes here in Oak Cliff, now I wonāt have to go to the one on Wheatland or the one on Maples to get me some good chicken, but who the HECK decide the layout for the drive thru & parking lot ? Itās literally a claustrophobic nightmare, first off this place is TOO SMALL for Oak Cliff, do you guys know how many people live in Oak Cliff ?? And how many of those people love your food? Do you guys know how many people own Tahoes and RAMs in Oak Cliff?? The drive thru isnāt long enough and it will definitely stretch into the EXTREMELY SMALL parking lot you guys built (HIGHLY DONT RECOMMEND YOU PARK UP FRONT BECAUSE YOUāLL BE STUCK) and if you happen to get into the drive thru, good luck getting out because it has the same hellish design as Taco Bell where you are literally screwed into not being able to get out! Like every other location has wide open space with integrated parking spots, why not this one? Oof anyways the chicken is good and the...
