This was my first time at this chain of restaurants. Pluses: The overall design was very white, various sized tile, local high school letterman jackets were hung on the walls and everything was clean. You can tell the target customer is in their teens-twentys. Their was plenty of outdoor seating as well. The chicken strips were very tasty and hot and I could tell they were marinaded. I did like their signature sauce, which was peppery tasting without being too hot or spicy.
Minuses: With all of the white tile everywhere, noise was a problem. Even though music was playing, you could over hear every conversation spoken that was over a whisper. I could hear what customers were ordering across the restaurant while at my table. The young employees were kept busy emptying out trash and restocking, but the broom and dustpan leaning against the wall next to my table went untouched. The trash can outside couldn't have been emptied all day because it was overflowing with trash and I can't imagine that many people eating outside in the August heat. Although flavorful, I prefer a crisper coating on my chicken strips which seemed small for the prices charged. It seems like the size of the strips is based on the restaurant's sandwich because they fit perfectly on the bun my husband ordered. Luckily I liked the signature sauce because honey mustard was their only other one available. Keep this in mind if you have small children.
Suggestion to the manager: Don't stand behind the cashier line and talk to your employees in the dining room. Walk over to them or get walkie talkies with earpieces. Because they simply yell back a response, then the groups of teens eating in the dining room start getting louder and louder.
Will I return: Sure, I'll give it a second chance to see if the pluses outweigh the minuses. Simply because I really wanted to like it...

After a long day at work in the heat my husband and I go to cane's not to eat but to get a gallon of the sweet tea. Now when I buy a gallon of tea and it cost me almost 7 dollars I would expect to be able to get me a couple glasses of ice, I may be asked to pay for the cups and I'm fine with that. So charge me 50 cents for cup I understand. That I have no problem with but for 2 cups of ice and 1 gallon of tea I was asked to pay $12.and some change. I only asked for tea and 2 cups of ice. So I told the young man I'm not ordering 2 fountain drinks. He said I no this is ice. I told him take it off I want only tea. So while waiting I wash my hands and decide maybe he is new and just don't no how to ring it up, so I go to another young lady tell her I want to cups.of.ice to go with the gallon I just paid for and she said 5 dollars and some change. Are you people crazy. She gets her manager at this point t they are gonna refu d this tea I don't want it. This manager has my ticket in her hands and ask the young man how I paid, ma'am the receipt is in your hands it's says I paid cash, she asked the young what's she pay you with, again maam your holding the receipt as a manager dont you no how to read a receipt. it says i paid 20 dollars. Now most places if they wont give you free cups of ice to go with the gallon you just paid for they certainly are not gonna charge you 2.50 for each cup of ice. Canes i spend money in your establishment at least 1 or 2 times a week. One of them times is for a gallon of tea. But from from this point on i will drive to taco casa about 3 miles further but the tea is good and i dont have to pay o er 5 dollars for 2 cups of ice, whi h is...
Read moreSo couple days ago , my daughter had promised her little sister, she was going to take them to the new canes on Northwest Highway but yesterday we had a bad experience with racism if they would have a changing table in the restrooms for people could change their babies. None of this wouldâve ever happened. So my daughter decided to take my daughter-in-law outside to change my grandsonâs diaper because thereâs no changing tables in the restrooms and they had the Car door open And this truck pulls up trying to get in the parking lot he act like he could not wait and he started. Cursing them out almost ran over my daughter-in-law with my grandson in her arms so they went inside. I didnât know what was going on, and the guy started screaming and cussing and then He got in my special-needs sonâs face. Telling him letâs talk man to man I know he could tell that my son is special needs These people did not have no kind of respect at all and the manager at the restaurant took their side and told us we had to leave. He didnât want to give me a refund or anything treated us like we were nothing just cause weâre Hispanic and I donât think that is the right way we got treated yesterday and nobody listen to our side of the story nobody was trying to fight we were just trying to calm down. I will never come to this place again then our food was not cooked right the fries were cold , and when I told him to give me a refund, he said no we didnât even get to enjoy the food or anything so not even worth going all the way over there to get treated my opinion I feel like they need to put a changing table in the womenâs restroom, so stuff like this, wonât I ever...
