oomi Kitchen — Restaurant in Dallas

I hate to write this but I feel compelled to do so because it just wasn’t right. I ordered my phone through the app and it said it was going to be ready at 6:06 pm so I get there around 6:05 pm and I walk in and I see who I think his name is David working the line. I sit down because I was going to wait until 6:06 and my code would show up on the app and I would get my food through the lockers. Time passed by and it’s already 6:10 and a yt gentleman walks in. David immediately turns around to assist him and the yt man points at me letting him know I was here first. I tell David I ordered wings and he points at the lockers (mind you I have never received a code) like to tell me that my food was there. So I go to the lockers and I look at my app and still have never received this code. Meanwhile David immediately starts helping the yt man and gets his order from the lockers and hands it to him. I’m still lost bc I didn’t have my code and David I guess figured I couldn’t get it and then grabs my order. While he is helping me he sees a lady behind me and starts helping her and getting her order while we are still trying to complete my purchase. He hands her stuff and she leaves and I am still waiting for him to hand me the buttermilk for my food. I was the first one there and the last one to leave. DAVID this is for you please make everyone welcome and focus on the person that was there first. Complete their transaction and move on to the next customer. Kinda felt discriminated and felt like I didn’t matter. I liked going here for their good food but there’s tons of other places. Sad to say I will not return to this place. Do better David. We recently catered our birthday party for 30 guests. Honestly, it was one of the best decisions we made!

From the get-go, Markus was a huge help. He guided us through the menu, making sure we picked the right options for everyone. He was super accommodating, even adjusting to our request for an early pick-up time. It really made the planning process a breeze.

Now, about the food — it was absolutely delicious! Our guests kept complimenting the tacos, and many came back for seconds (and even thirds!). The meat was tender and juicy, which is exactly what you want. And let’s not forget the churros — they were downright addictive! They were a perfect treat to round off the meal.

Communicating with the Oomi team was easy, and everything felt organized. They truly made our celebration special. If you’re looking for great food and fantastic service, I highly recommend Oomi! Thanks for making our birthday...

Swung by tonight with my boyfriend and daughter. She’s basic so she got Which Wich; tasted like it normally does at any location.

My boyfriend got the taco plate from Urban Taco; everything was cooked correctly but the rice, beans, meat (carnitas and bistec) all lacked flavor. His favorite part about it was the rice.

We shared the Spicy Drunken Noodles; it was ok but it reminded me of the frozen TV dinner meals you pop in the microwave or the bagged kind that comes frozen and you cook in the pan. Wasn’t super flavorful.

I got the Cowboy sandwich from Flyrite with fries. The fries were really crunchy, well seasoned and warm. The sandwich had good flavor and had potential but the chicken had a rubbery texture which kind of killed it for me.
